I miss those blue eyes, how you kiss me at night I miss the way we sleep Like there's no sunrise, like the taste of your smile I miss the way we breathe
Waves upon sand, simply crashing against the shore. Quiet was the beach as the ocean sang its low lullaby. Ruby eyes stared into the distance, eyes shimmering in memory of some faint and vague thought of hope. Not that the past could be undone, but that the future could be salvaged. Chocolate locks caught the wind and flowed in the breeze. The winder whispered the approach of summer. The sun was just beginning the set, the sky becoming dyed in an array or oranges and reds. A deep sigh left the frail girl whom resided on the beach’s shore. Her feet were close to being nipped by the waves that teased with its foam.
Mikomi sat there in silence. The birds had long returned to their nests to settle in for the night. The ocean was calm, and the beach empty; except there sat Mikomi. Her knees were pulled tightly to her chest and her arms wrapped around them securely. She bore a light coral long sleeve shirt that hung loosely around her as not to keep in body heat. Her shorts were a creamy white that bore a pattern easily breathable. She had disregarded her sandals somewhere in the sand during her trek to the water. A charcoal hat adorned her head, and as the sun burned brightly over the horizon, Mikomi removed the pair of sunglasses from her face and set them next to her.
Crimson eyes stared out into sea as though something would appear. What was she looking for exactly? She didn’t know for certain, but she was longing for something. No, not something, but someone. Asher. A pain in her chest was sharp and stabbed at her heart. She winced, and closed her eyes momentarily before resuming her longing stare out into the ocean. She had certainly messed up, that she knew for sure. Her mind was a dangerous place, and she feared for the worst. She hadn’t been in contact with the male in weeks, and she knew it was driving her crazy. She knew it wasn’t smart to walk past his residence, but it couldn’t be helped. She missed him, and by god was it taking its toll.
She wrote him every day, practically begging him to write back or to do something. Every day she sat at the same spot on the same beach at the same time. It was practically deja vu for the young woman. She remembered waiting for Asher every day at the train station for his return, and now she waited once more for a simple word. Her eyes shut as tears threatened to fall, but she refused to let them; she was stronger than this. Yes, she had messed up, and now it was her turn to pay. Perhaps being the kind woman who let someone in need stay with her was a mistake, but at the time it was done simply out of the goodness of her heart. Yes, she was lonely, but no lonely enough to completely forget Asher.
Another stab- another wince. His name brought pain to every thought. How long would she keep this up? She didn’t know for certain, but it was taking its toll. Koby hadn’t made contact with her either, and it didn’t help her situation. She felt completely abandoned, left for dead. She didn’t have much longer on her contract, perhaps a month or two left. She couldn’t remember, and she couldn’t concentrate. The days were blurring together, and nothing seemed to make sense. But… but when she was with him, everything made sense. His blue eyes, like the ocean to stared at, could captivate her and make her feel at home. A sad smile appeared on rosy lips, but he wasn’t here, and maybe just maybe, he never would be.

They seemed to bounce off of every reflective surface in his room and attack his lidded eyes. Asher released a painful groan before turing over and pulling his dark linen sheets over his head. After a night of drinking and partying, the last thing he wanted to do was to get up and face the sun...and the twisted reality his life was becoming. It was tough, but Asher had almost come to terms with the fact that Mikomi was sharing her home and her bed with some flea ridden street fox. It wasn’t like she was cheating on him...but dammit it was close enough to it. If this fiasco had occurred earlier on in their relationship, Ash probably would have given up on the relationship and went abroad permanently. At this point however, his heart would not let him do that.
He sighed from underneath his bed sheets, and began to ponder what in the world he was going to do about the situation. Everyday for the past couple weeks Asher ahd received a letter from Mikomi, asking him to meet her at the beach at Port Loco. This was his chance to finally smooth things over...but for some reason he just couldn’t find the strength to do it. Knowing that he was standing her up in such a way tore him to shreds...but what else could he do?
A loud knock came from the other side of his door. Asher moaned in response, but otherwise made no move to actually acknowledge the visitor. “Hey Asher, suck it up and act like a fucking MAN!” The harsh words, with out a doubt, came from Asher’s twin brother. Ashton had always been the more straightforward aggressive of the two...but this time his air headed brother actually had a point. Asher tossed the protective sheets to the floor and got up. It was time to make things right again. --
To say the least, the trip to the beach was a long one. The city of Vale wasn’t exactly a stone’s throw a way from this small slice of paradise. Regardless, Asher still managed to dress in the appropriate clothing. With a figure like his, it was easy for Asher to pull off THIS Look. Although he was dressed to impress, Ahser certainly wasn’t feeling up the to challange. For some strange reason his heart was beating a thousand times a minute, and sweat clung to his forehead. He had nothing to be afraid of, but for some reason an unease had swept over him.
Crystal blue eyes scanned the shoreline, with a deliberate slowness. He was a few minutes late, but he wanted to be sure he didn’t miss the brunette. It took him only minutes to find the person he was looking for. Just a couple yards away was Mikomi, looking as beautiful as ever. A warmth spread through Asher’s body as he finally laid his eyes on her. Suppressing the urge to run, Ash made his way towards her, and without thinking grabbed her from behind. One hand covered both her eyes, while the other one held her against him. With an almost painful smile the male breathed: “Guess who Mikomi."

You could make my head swerve. Used to know my every curve. And now we meet on a street, And I am blind. I can not find the heart I gave to you.
Mikomi stared out into the sea. The water reflected the light in an array of a million sparkles. It was beautiful by all means, but Mikomi could not find the beauty enjoyable. She glanced down at the leather watch around her wrist. For a few moments she watched the second hand ticket about in a circle. It was getting late and it would seem Asher was not going to appear… again. However, tonight was different. She didn’t budge from her position and once again she simply sat there idly. Where was she to go? The only place was her empty home which she lingered more and more at. She hadn’t touched the violin or piano in what seemed like ages.
Mikomi flexed her fingers and winced. They were tight and stiff; they ached painfully at the joints. The joy in her life had seemingly vanished. She had found comfort in Koby’s presence, but as a friend, or was there something else. Yes, she had been very lonely in Koby’s absence, but that didn’t mean she was looking for the same feelings in Koby. Koby was small and fragile, more than herself. Koby made her feel strong, and he helped her power through the guilt and push onward with her contract. He had even tried to stop her, but it didn’t help. And there was that one incident, but Mikomi shut her eyes tightly, blocking the memory all together. She just wanted to save her own reputation and not get into any trouble.
Trouble. She snickered. It was inevitable. It was bound to happen wherever she went. Every time she turned around she ran straight into trouble. Perhaps one day she’d live a normal happy life. Mikomi hadn’t really thought about the rest of her life. How would she make a living after her contract was up? She could go into the music industry, but even then it was a tricky business. She refused to live off of Asher. Another stab. Who was she kidding? She doubted that she could salvage the situation with him at this point. Hell, she’d written to him for weeks on end and not even a single word. Not a single word. Maybe she was cursed to be lonely.
The ocean breeze caressed her skin and sent shivers down her spine. It was probably best she leave; staying wouldn’t ease her poor broken heart- a heart she broke on her own. Mikomi didn’t know why she had lingered on the sandy shore for as long as she had. Something kept her glued down, with nowhere to go, she doubted it mattered. Her eyes slipped shut as she breathed in the salty air. She gazed out one last time preparing to leave. It was then that a hand, neither cold nor hot, covered her eyes. Another arm circled around her and bulled her into a chest. The air left her lungs in a split second, and she could hear her heart pounding into her ears.
She knew these limbs. They weren’t bulky, but they weren’t boney- they were perfect. Inside she was panicking, not quite sure how to handle the situation. For a moment she thought about completely shoving the person away, just in case. It was then that she heard him speak her name and every fiber of her being stopped moving. “Asher.” It was light, and Mikomi didn’t remember even saying it. She dared not move save the slight rise and fall of her chest. Hands slowly raised to grab his hands that covered her eyes. “You came.” She said in disbelief as her hands slowly pulled his hands down to join the other around her. Mikomi didn’t dare to turn to face the blonde, but shimmering eyes that dared to tear, stared out into the sea. “You really came.” She bit her lip softly, collecting her thoughts together. It wasn’t until now that she realized she hadn’t planned this all the way through. “I’m sorry.” Don’t cry. “I’m so sorry.”

Note: I've been writing this post for two and a half hours. Asher muse is being difficult. will do best to finish tomorrow
Asher exhaled deeply as he finally felt Mikomi stir against him. The past few weeks had been nothing but dramatic, but he was glad that he could be here with the woman he cared about most. With a warmth in his heart, he buried his face into the crook of her neck and inhaled. That wasn’t too weird was it? It felt as if it had been years since Asher saw the brunette, and he wanted to take in all of her to make up for lost time. Her voice was music to his ears, and it took him a few seconds to respond to her when she spoke. The smile plastered on his face broke slightly, and a small tsunami of guilt washed over him. Asher didn’t really know how to respond to Mikomi...for a long time he wasn’t sure himself if he would even come. All he could do was nod and choke out a pathetic answer.
”I did...” he said in an almost depressed tone. ”Sorry I’m late Mikomi....and I’m sorry for everything”

Falling from cloud 9 Crashing from the high I'm letting go tonight
So, what now? The sun was dipping below the horizon now. It wouldn’t be long before night would settle in. Mikomi’s eyes slipped shut in thought. What was there to say? Words couldn’t even begin to describe how she felt. His scent filled her nose and intoxicated her senses. She felt whole, she felt complete. This is where she belonged- with him. She was having a hard time keeping herself together right then and there. She didn’t know how to react, but bursting into tears sounded like a good idea. No, she couldn’t do that. She needed to keep herself together. With that said, she couldn’t help but let a tear or two past her closed eyes.
It was then that he spoke. She could hear the emotion, the pain, in his voice. She winced, she had caused that pain. How was she supposed to fix things? It didn’t matter, she’d try anything. Her brow furrowed for a moment. He was sorry? For what? She had been the one to mess up and screw everything up. He had merely reacted to her mistakes. No, he didn’t need to apologize for her mess ups. She needed to take responsibility, but not here. She’d fix things later, when her contract was up. It wouldn’t be long before she was a free woman. With her freedom meant that she could devote her life to the man she loved.
“Asher.” It was a mere whisper, as her eyes opened to glance at the setting sun once more. She turned quickly in her grasp to face him. Her face was buried into the crook of his neck. She inhaled his deep scent, and she felt her body relax. Had she been this tense all along? It didn’t matter. “No, it was my entire fault.” She spoke softly. Another breath. “I’m sorry.” Could words mend things? She didn’t know, the situation itself was hard to grasp. “Forgive me.” It was simple enough. Her eyes was closed tightly shut. Her fists tightened. When had she grabbed his shirt? “I’ll do anything, just… just please,” another breath. “Don’t leave me again.” Tears leaked down her cheeks. “I need you.”
