The soft lulling of an acoustic guitar could be heard thru the bustling of crowd. Garrett sat at the fountain, strumming to his old favorite song. His soft humming came from his lips. ‘Over the Rainbow’ was a beautiful piece in his opinion. Even thou it did sound better on a ukulele, the acoustic was just as good; To the tiger anyways. People walked by and smiled. Couples cuddled together, enjoying the music. Each lyric of the song came from Garrett like an angel singing. A bright smile spread over his face. Many of the passer-byers placed money next to him. Thou… Garrett wasn’t out there for money. It was all for the love of music and sharing such an old and wonderful song.
It was actually a good day for Garrett. The tiger wasn’t really happy ever since he and his step-father had come to this town. He actually hated it. Garrett was bored; not able to go to school, as if he would go anyways, and there was little the large feline was able to do. But then this song had wiggled its way back into his life and things seemed to get better. His eyes were closed as the sweet melody rocked him; swaying side to side slightly. As he continued to sing and think about things, Garrett couldn’t help but smile. This was Viola’s favorite song. Her voice was much more angelic when she sang. His heart ached to see his friend again. She was the world to him.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Both the song and his relationship were stopped. Well… The song had to come to an end anyways. Even if Garrett wanted too, he couldn’t continue the song. It was only like… four minutes long? But his relationship with Viola didn’t have to end. If his step-father didn’t have to be a D* and force him to move, they’d still be together and happy. Letting out a sigh, Garrett gathered up the money and shoved it in his pocket. He paid no mind to the people who left. It was all exiting when the song was playing, not it was boring and droll because no other song was going to be sung. Garrett would sing… But his mind was centered on Viola too much to do so. Damn, did he miss her.
Slowly, he placed his acoustic guitar back in its case. With another sigh, the case was zipped up and then slung over his shoulder. Where to go to now?
