The pale fox sat over by the fountain, hiding in his human form. Koby sighed heavily. God he was so bored. Two-toned eyes watched at Sky ran around, chasing away pigeons. She’s been around more lately. And she’s been speaking more. At least she wasn’t having her random appearing acts and one word sentences before running off to who knows where. Koby would be more happy if Charlie had more visits. His twin rarely ever shows. And when he does, it’s always dating tips that never even work. Why the fox used them, he never knew. Stretching his arms, Koby quickly glanced at his clock. Close to lunch. He didn’t need a clock to tell him, his stomach growled loudly.
Sky suddenly was lost from Koby’s vision. Anyone would have run after the young girl, however, the fox chose not to. She always made it back… Where ever she went to. Slowly getting off the fountain, Koby looked around. It was so crowded. And thankfully, the crowd hid him away from thugs. If Koby had it his way, the thugs would have been gone a long time ago. Sky came running back, giggling happily. Stopping her from jumping into the fountain, Koby grabbed her waist. “No Sky. No water.” She seemed sadden by his words but just ran off to find something else to busy herself with. Sighing heavily, the fox sat back down. It never struck him that Sky could suddenly see. She was blind when they were kids. So why? Why could she do things like everyone else? Why didn’t she run into people? Or for that matter, people run into her?
Leaning back, Koby covered his eyes and sighed once again. He REALLY was bored. No less there was no good books to read. Taking off his glasses, the fox turned his head to the side. Sky was chasing pigeons again. She seemed so easily amused. Rubbing his temple, Koby groaned. His stomach growled again, pulling Koby back to his feat and heading over to a store that sold food. He never liked human food that much, save for sushi. But, whatever they had was better than starving himself. The fox wasn’t really sure what he ordered, only that it tasted good. Settling himself back by the fountain, he continued to eat whatever processed garbage the humans called food. Staring up at the sky slightly, Koby hoped he wasn’t going to get tan. He liked being all pasty white.

Seven seconds to the rise; can't believe I'm still alive, and Heaven was waiting for me...
— Amaya
[/blockquote][/blockquote] The atmosphere was suffocating; all the stenches of humans bustling about, the crowded feeling of being closed in by people. By enemies and traitors. By the haters of nature, lovers of technology and needless slaughter. The thought of having to be in the presence of them brought a sick feeling to the huntress's chest. Almost as if she wanted to vomit. She probably did. As a matter of fact, if she was less of a wolf, less emotionless, she probably would. Very frequently. But she wasn't the queasy type. Not the least; not after everything. Oh, but she did make others queasy. Very easily at that; her atmosphere never grew any less than intimidating. Not that she tried to; it was just natural for her, in her own expressionless way. How strange, to be intimidated by one who never showed anger.
Eventually, the huntress broke from the crowd, although they never really got near her in the first place; her atmosphere even effected non-animals. They seemed to cower in her vicinity, cautious to avoid getting too near. As if they did, they would burn. It wasn't like she was venom or fire; once or twice in her past, she even grew curious as to why she was avoided so easily, not that she minded. But that was far before she grew cold and bitter and numb.
Her ebony hair flowing past the middle of her back, it nearly blended with her black jacket; it didn't hug her, probably because it remained unzipped for a dark gray shirt with white, enchanting yet chilling floral designs to peep through. Her skinny jeans were dark and slightly loose, but not baggy, her belt securing them into place. Although it was obvious that her attire was rather tattered, only a few, minuscule rips and tears showed through, barely enough for her skin to show through. Her rather pale skin suited the outfit well, but what suited them more so was the silver gaze, piercing and guarded.
And that gaze flickered once, twice, sights ascending to the flocks of pigeons rising and falling in a different location than where they left. Their cries of panic were a truly irritating commotion to the silent maiden's sensitive eardrums, but she made no sign to acknowledging the agitation. She did, however, figure that it was best to check out the source of the commotion, just in case. There were no gunshots, so she assumed that animals weren't getting into trouble. At least, not yet. But the level of threat didn't seem too major. Safe enough for her to venture through.
So she began to walk, silent as a phantom, her presence left alone. No one wanted to bother a woman who seemed capable of split-second murder with her own hands, right? Well, no one in the right mind. Not that many were. But not too many people were stupid when it came to her. Although some definitely were. And one could say, one way or another, she was indeed proud of that. Not that she showed it. However, she felt no need to keep her guard completely up; from the sounds of it, and the atmosphere, there was no immediate threat. And she hoped she was correct. Because being wrong at this point would suck. She was in the city, after all. The middle of it, practically. And having a white wolf, no matter how average-sized, running around defending itself, wouldn't go down too well with the mortals. She would probably end up like Swiss cheese in no time.
Fortunately, her instincts were correct. For now. As she sidestepped a bunch of screeching, it was clear that there was an Arctic fox chasing after the pigeons, scaring them off. And there was another, not too far off; Arctic fox, too. Just disguised. They smelled - related. Very closely related; siblings, probably. Judging whether or not she ought to just leave, there being no threat and all, her powerful gaze nearly focused on the fountain, the faintest glaze over her optics hinting a moment of being lost in thought.

“What the hell are you staring at?!” Two-toned eyes glared at the white wolf. He could tell she was disguised as well. Figures. The fox called his sister to his side. Sky eyed her brother confusingly before bounding over. She hopped onto the fountain and smiled lightly. Her tail flicked, brushing against her brother gently. Koby stood protectively in front of her. The wolf didn’t look so hostile, but he wasn’t going to take the chance. He wasn’t going to lose Sky too. Two-toned eyes glanced at the smiling fox before snorting and shaking his head. Poor Sky couldn’t tell when a situation could get dangerous for her life. That’s probably the best thing about her. That and her smile. A glove covered hand patted her head gently before turning back to the wolf.
“What’s your name?” Wolf… It might be obvious she knew of their fox forms. No less this wolf was bigger than him and his sister. Sure, not as big as those other two black wolves he came into contact with a long while ago, but still, a wolf was a wolf. And unfortunately, Arctic foxes didn’t grow too big. “Sky, don’t take your collar of ‘kay?” Koby’s voice was a hushed whisper. Surely, the wolf could have heard it, but he doubted a human could. If the two got separated, at least someone would know Sky was a ‘pet’ and not harm her. Hopefully. Stepping silently, Koby headed over to the wolf. A white wolf too. Like Sky almost. But still a wolf. He stopped a few paw steps away from the female. Pale arms crossed over his chest and Koby leaned back slightly. Two-toned eyes checked her out. Not in a perverted way thou. Koby had read a lot about wolves. Seeing one up close, one that was normal sized, was always a good treat. Still not perverted.
“My name’s Koby. Koby Herts. That little fox over there is my sister,” He said the last word low. “Pet.. Sky is her name. Pretty right?” Koby flashed a fake smile before turning back to Sky. She was pretty. But, Koby was saying it as a brother, not like those sister-complex things he read about on the internet. The thoughts of incest sickened him to no end. He practically threw up at it. Now, he had no problem what people did with their lives, which was why he didn’t mind gays despite what his grandfather says, as long as they didn’t involve him. Koby would never, ever, do such a thing to Sky. She didn’t need that. It’d break her to pieces. She’s way too innocent for that; which was why no male ever got close to her without losing a finger or two.
OOC: -flails- no, no it’s okay. I really wasn’t specific T.T Sky and Charlie are hallucinations. But you can make an rp a.u.ish right? We’ll just say they’re not and alive. You can do that right? –panics- Muse: Good ;P Music: N/a Word count: 457 Other notes: N/a

A near growl from the male brought her back to her senses, back to reality; looked like she would have to stick around anyway. Hn; he was.. snappy - very, snappy. To the point where the huntress nearly cocked an eyebrow Nearly. Perhaps there would come a time when she would grow to miss the ability to express herself, the ability to feel. The ability to react with various sensations, rather than seeming to not care. Rather than letting her eyes betray her barrier, for them to be the only thing to lead any to her emotions. Or perhaps there would come a day where her barrier would defeat her eyes as well, the final pathway to her desperate cries. Her emotions' final stand. Well, she had little say in her future; only time would tell.
Her reaction to the Arctic fox's seethed question was silence; barely an acknowledgment as her eerie silver gaze shifted to focus on him. Not intently focus. Just a tad. As if she had nothing better to do. She remained expressionless, giving nothing away. Not that she had anything to. But her atmosphere remained dark, almost foreboding, and although she wasn't surprised that the fox began to approach her, she figured that she wasn't the type for others to be comfortable around. His paranoia, and snapping at her, basically proved that, in her opinion.
Her name? How perfectly normal. To growl at her, be hostile, and then abruptly ask for her name, with more curiosity than any underlying plots. "Amaya." Her voice was hushed, barely louder than a murmur. She had no intentions of raising her voice much louder; despite how quiet or low her voice could get, others had easy times comprehending her. If it wasn't her words, it was her actions; if it wasn't those, it was her eyes. She was full of communication. But full of loneliness, and the preference to not socialize. But this fox wasn't much of a threat, nor a bother; neither was the second fox. It wasn't too difficult, nor was it too irritating. She wouldn't mind conversing, but if he attempted to get close.. Well, she figured he wouldn't anyway. And she was going to leave it as just that.
Sensitive eardrums picked up on the whispered command, so low that it was obvious no one other than the three of them would overhear. Not that there ought to be anyone around to do so anyway. People; she hated people. And with a hate like hers, she ought to be able to pick up on them like radar. But that wasn't what she was picking up the moment; the male fox was observing her stoically now. Not necessarily sizing her up; she could tear him apart in a second if she wanted to. But blood lust wasn't her thing. Lucky for them she never picked up on her uncle's genetics, nor his behavior. Or this male wouldn't be so close to her, calmly examining her. He'd probably be dead.
A single blink, and her attention broke from her thoughts, banishing her uncle to the very back of her dark, cold mind. As he spoke to her, her own moonstones glanced over him, making certain she could read him, tell that he intended no harm. Not yet. Trust wasn't a very big thing for her, either; the only one she was able to trust was herself. Eventually, everyone would betray her in the end.
His voice began up again, this time introducing himself. Hm, introducing his last name as well? She rarely did such a thing; easier to keep from being tracked. Besides, her last name was only her family's curse. Literally meaning Sorrow, she tended to avoid thinking about it. Amaya was all they needed to know. As he continued to speak, she nodded, acknowledging him to signal to him that, although she wasn't speaking, she also wasn't ignoring him. And then the subject came to his sister, who he called a pet for safety protocol; clever idea to pull off. Good thing she had no one to look after. Not after those pups were mercilessly butchered. The memories caused her lip to twitch the slightest bit at the corner, but her mind could not register the anger that bombarded the unbreakable barrier around her, despite the fact that her gray optics glinted with the fury and pain, if just for a moment.
When he went on about her, complimenting her, a kind of softness settled in her eyes, despite the rest of her remaining indifferent. She nodded slowly again, a low, "Yes," breaking past her lips. Indeed, the younger one was pretty; but she was also precious. Loved and valued. Perhaps she needed a bit more of that in her life; affection, love. But she couldn't feel the emotion that cared. She could only feel the emptiness her life left her with, the barrier closing everything out and nothing but logic and memories in.
A light pain tingled above her right ear for a moment, almost giving off a stinging feeling, and her gaze flickered. Humans. No doubt; they entered their vicinity. But they posed no threat as of currently. That didn't stop her from shifting straighter, though, her muscles prepared to leap into action at any moment. Mankind didn't need to be in close range to kill; they had their luxurious firearms, and if they decided they didn't like their company, then she might as well scram. But she wouldn't leave without a taste of one of their deaths before she escaped; she had the pride of a true wolf, after all. Hopefully, though, as her monochrome gaze locked with his dual-colored orbs to signal Humans, it wouldn't have to come down to that. Not that luck was ever kind to her for long.

“Amaya huh? What no last name?” The fox mocked. He waved his hand, stopping her from answering the question. It wasn’t needed. Koby stared at her for a bit before turning back to Sky quickly. She smiled and wagged her tail. He rolled his eyes at her before turning back to the wolf. When she replied with a low ‘yes’ smirked. Fake of course. Now, if Koby wanted to, he could ramble on about how awesome his sister was. And be all creepy of course. But, he wasn’t like that. No less, talking to the wolf about his beloved sibling wasn’t something he wasn’t going to do. And not to mention, Koby was quite anti-social. He was surprised he had strode right up to her and chatted, somewhat, calmly. A pale hand pulled his bangs over his brown eye and was careful with the contacts.
As they continued to stare at each other, the fox noticed how Amaya straightened. He kept a poker face on, not letting her see his confusion. Koby knew he was threatening at times but… She was obviously taller than him and had nothing to worry about. Not to mention the little fact about species difference. She was a wolf while he was a fox. Their eyes locked and a silent message was passed. Humans. The fox held back a growl. And not just any humans. Two-toned eyes peered past the wolf. Thugs number 1, 2 and, 3. Of course it had to be him. While the fox was still hidden from their view, Koby turned around quickly.
Sky stared at her brother as his hand shot up and made a weird movement. Her blue eyes widened slightly before she turned and left hurriedly. Koby let out a sigh of relief before turning back to face Amaya. “I see you noticed we have company.” He pulled at his scarf and tilted his neck to the slide, a small crack coming from the movement. His gloves were pulled off and placed into his pocket. With a wink, Koby stepped to the side, away from Amaya. “Hey! It’s my favorite three stalkers!” He held out his arms and faked a smile, chuckling evilly. “What brings the Three Stooges out of their turf?” The fox spared a glance to Amaya before stepping up to the thugs. They got angry quickly, cracking their knuckles threateningly. At least they didn’t have any weapons. A good clean fight. For once.
As he walked closer to the three, Koby clicked his heels on the ground as thou he was going to skip. Once the fox got close enough, he spat in thug number 1’s face. His arms crossed over his chest once more and he held back a sigh. They really needed to get lost; them and their conniving, perverted, ways. Two-toned eyes watched them, waiting for a move. “You better have a good reason for interrupting my nice conversation with that young lady over there,” His hand flicked over to Amaya, but his eyes never left the thugs. “And it better be your best,” He growled flashing his sharp canine teeth.

This time, there was a reaction. But very detached from her, as if it wasn't necessarily hers. The slightest, curious twitch of an eyebrow, before the dismissal of a need for a response; her arms remained crossed, and the faintest hint of a smile flickered at the corners of her lips, for just a second. Yet through all of that, she felt nothing. Nothing but that probing cloud, the constant sensation of suffocating under the pressure she could not pinpoint, could not thoroughly experience. It felt - false, surreal. And what else was fake? That smirk. It wasn't difficult to catch the falsehood of the crease upon the lips; when one spent their lives reading others, being unreadable themselves, it was easy to see what was genuine and what was a lie.
But that wasn't her main concern; what was, was the group of humans approaching. And from the looks of it, this fox knew them all too well. And he didn't look very happy to see them. Her footfalls remained silent as she shifted, still hidden from view, turning on a heel to face the direction where the mortals' loud and clumsy footsteps clamored through the atmosphere. An irritated 'tch' escaped her, although the emotions behind it didn't quite reach her heart and mind; she remained emotionless, blank. Her gaze remained on the entrance the humans would be forced to make, since there was only one safe way in for those who weren't wild. Despite that, however, she didn't need to turn around to know that the smaller fox was scampering off; a side glance, and she could tell that the male fox had signaled to his sibling to get to safety. Good. No more obstacles. No possible collateral damage to worry about.
The male was probably a charming one, what with his smart remarks and his wink. Perhaps one day, she would understand what an interest in the other gender would feel like. She almost did once. But the opportunity was snatched from her the moment her uncle barreled into her life again. Love was a taboo thing for her, whether it be for family or for a significant other. It was a weak link. And she wanted nothing to do with anything that hinted toward weakness. But laughter wasn't weak, was it? So why couldn't she do it? Wasn't it natural for a body to laugh, regardless of emotion? She wouldn't know, she supposed; because even as the fox comically insulted the approaching men, who seemed quite furious from the start, there was no shift in her demeanor.
Spitting in the man's face? Not the smartest move. She knew from experience that, that tended to get a barrel shoved down one's throat and triggered. Not that they had any firearms on them at the moment. Better for them. Actually, better for her. The atmosphere that radiated off of these men disgusted her - and that normally meant perverted. From the itch in the leader's hands, she could tell he was probably the main one. How sickening. She almost crinkled her nose, and a flicker of hatred glinted in her moonstones. Good thing they couldn't see her. Not until they were almost upon the fox, and a gesture was made toward her.
Keeping her stance strong and powerful, she noticed a flicker of concern in the second thug's eyes; his leg, she noticed, twitched as if he planned to take a step back. Yeah, retreat. That would be a good plan. But the leader was paying full attention to Koby again. 'Oh, no reason at all - other than the fact that you're gonna end up dead,' the leader began.
'And we're gonna mop the floor with you and your whiny-ass pet!' The second one actually spoke up under the intensity of her gaze. Interesting.
And then the third one almost erupted in laughter, declaring, 'We're gonna need a lot of your stupid selves for this job!' A slight tilt of her cranium was all that she replied with. That hardly made any sense at all..
Then the leader's gaze locked with hers. She didn't tense, but his muscles seemed to shift, preparing for something. A battle, more than likely. 'And we'll take that pretty young lady of yours, too!' Huh. Don't count on it. As he cracked his knuckles once more, his grin was such a foolish, egotistic sneer, she found the hair along her neck bristling instinctively. Anger flared in her eyes. But emotions still failed to contact her within. That didn't matter, though. Emotions were a weak link. She didn't need them in battle; all she needed was strength, skill, and logic. As the first thug sent the other two off toward her, promising to find the younger fox later, she noticed him raise his fist. Poised to strike. Huh - slow.
Before the humans could reach her, she was gone, flipping gracefully over and past them, landing directly in between the leader and the fox. In the same moment that she landed, her hand shot up in the fluid movement that she used to stand up, grasping his wrist with a painful grip. As his mouth gaped, preparing to yowl in pain, she turned to the side, pulling his arm over her back. And sending him flying, yards in front of her, into the ground. Shocked, all three of the thugs watched her. Paying no heed to them, her voice was directed at Koby, even though her sights were not; "Go." Leave, find safety. Find his sister. And he was going to obey. Her atmosphere had definitely darkened, strengthened. The foreboding increased, the intimidation even more so. She felt no true emotions, other than the slightest bits of concern for the foxes. She was a wolf. She had slaughtered many before. Foxes on the other hand, didn't tend to be so lucky.
She may not have cared much, but she did feel a responsibility. To protect. To protect all other animals that did not oppose her. That were possibly her allies. The thugs were now upon them once more, and she shoved the fox back, hoping to knock him out of harm's way, before she crescent-kicked, sending all three of them sprawling to the ground upon landing. If they didn't give up soon, they wouldn't face the wrath of a human, female face. They would face their blood in their vision, a ferocious white wolf in the background of their end.

Wind up dead? Koby glared at thug number 1. He growled as the second one mentions Sky. Bastard. His fist clenched at the side. And of course. Thug number 3 and his idiocy. Koby glanced back to Amaya quickly before turning back to the thugs. “Fat chance,” Crap, he had no plan. How was he going to get Amaya out of this and keep Sky safe? Thou, judging by how much he knew Sky, she was long gone. A fast runner; would’ve been great for the coven too. His thoughts switched back to Amaya. Why did he have to get her out? Because she’s a girl, seemed like a logical answer, however, she looked to be one who could hold her own. Amaya had that ‘air’ around her. Like, she was hiding something. That she was far past the breaking point of a stereotype. More or less, she could probably take on the thugs. She was a wolf after all. Koby flicked the hair out of his face and tsk’d. He’d need both eyes for this bastard. To watch wherever those hands snaked to. Pervert. Two-toned eyes widened as thug number 1 sent Tweeddlede and Tweedledum after Amaya. The fox turned to call out to the wolf but was cut off. Thug number 1’s fist collided with Koby’s face, sending him back a bit.
Grasping his cheek, Koby glared at the thug, growling loudly. That was a cheap blow. Then again, they never plaid fair. He staggered to his feet, still glaring at the other. Crap. This was bad. He didn’t have a plan. This wasn’t expected. Koby didn’t think about any of this even happening. His mind has been running itself in circles. He was surprised he was able to function properly with all of it. Whipping the blood from his mouth, the fox took a step forward. He wasn’t going down without a fight, that’s for sure. Koby went to take another step but Amaya jumped in front of him, halting his action. Go? Was she serious? Amaya may be a wolf but these bastards were cheap skates. They’d find a way to distract her before doing something bad. And because she was a girl in their eyes, not wolf, they’d might just as go far as to… Koby shook his head angrily. He wouldn’t allow that to happen.
“I ain’t going anywhere,” The fox walked up to Amaya, standing next to her. “Sky is safe. I would say trust me but… Yeah. We just met,” Koby took a fighting stance. “I’ve got thug number 1. The others are yours. Do what you want,” With that, he charged at the thug. He was capable of fighting the guy. He’s done it for practically 8 years now. If Amaya thought otherwise, she was mistaken. Koby knew almost all these guys’ tricks. He was more prepared to fight them then her. And it wasn’t because she was a girl! The fox dodged a punch before kneeing the thug in the groin. The attack was missed, leaving Koby open. Crap! He gasped out in pain as he struck stomach, losing his breath. The fox held the aching area, trying to prevent himself from toppling over. Always the stomach!

All of the males were stubborn. All of them. But then again, she was stubborn as well. And considering the fact that men tended to have more of a pride issue than women, it was rather expected for them to regather themselves and hopelessly dive back into battle. It may be three against one - or against two, in case the fox did manage to prove himself useful - but she had handled worse situations before. With only one or two scars. But those were much more idiotic groups; this group had one moron, but two were at least a tad smarter. And dirtier, she could tell. Double-teaming was definitely a possibility. No, a guarantee. She almost scoffed; fine by her.
The moment Koby laid down the fact that he wasn't leaving, Amaya rolled her head a tad, cracking her neck. Very well. If he wasn't going to obey, she wasn't responsible for his injuries. Or his death, for that matter. Not that these bastardous humans would land a death blow on the smaller male. Despite not being able to feel, not able to completely care, she wasn't a complete bitch. But to these humans, she probably would be. Hm? The others were hers? Ahh, that was nice; she appreciated that freedom. Hearing their footfalls, rushed in charged, a malicious glint flared through her silver gaze. Very well; their death wishes were signed, and she had no problem obliging.
A few steps closer.. and she back flipped, sending herself soaring up and over them again, leaving them barely enough time to turn around before lunging at them. She swung her elbow, knocking into the rib cage of the third one, sending him roughly into the second one and distorting their balance for a moment. A moment long enough for her to lunge again, this time with a kick; it spun her around, similar to a backwards roundhouse kick, and it knocked them both to the ground with some yowls. Whisking around just as the leading thug raised another fist, her leg muscles coiled, propelling her as she released. Into the air, she was human.
Upon landing on the man, knocking and pinning him to the ground, she was wolven. But even as the man shrieked in terror, her entire exterior kept him curious, to the point he could not speak. He probably pissed his pants anyway. Perhaps it was a stupid idea - but she would make certain none of them would have time to scream Wolf! Gasps from behind her told her that the other two were regathering themselves once more, but she paid no mind to them; they weren't close enough. She could indeed sense the shift in the atmosphere; what they thought was a woman, someone they could play dirty with and rape, turned out to be one of their nightmares. A wolf who was indifferent toward their tragedies, their deaths; a reaper of their lives.
Her chilling, silver gaze bore down on the pinned leader, his panic increasing at her blank yet fatal stare. Killing was no feat for her; when one could not feel remorse or pity, having the death of others on the conscience was practically impossible. And it seemed that, as wolf and human eyes locked with a furious tensity, the human knew full well the fate he had decided to entail upon himself. But then his gaze twitched, glancing past her. Behind her. A whoosh began to sound, and she barely had enough time to roll to the side to avoid a full-blown swing of a branch; it slammed into her right hind leg, threatening to give it a limp as its edges left streaks of her blood in her alabaster coat.
For a moment, the atmosphere shifted again; they were growing more confident, more fearless toward a wolf. 'Ha! She's just a mangy mutt! She ain't nothing to be scared of!' the third one declared proudly, picking up a stick of his own as the second one smirked. But she could see fear in his eyes; he knew something was wrong. He seemed to be the smartest of the group. Too bad he'd die along with them anyway. The third thug charged, poised to swing, and she could hear the leader move a few feet from her. Too bad they didn't realize she couldn't feel pain; too bad they would never know that they could send a bullet to her shoulder, and she would not flinch, that only her body would react, but she would push, because she couldn't feel the damage her body could.
The branches were swung, the second one hesitantly. Too slow. In the moment they attacked, she bolted, slamming into the second one, using her paws to kick him back and propel her toward the third one; her jowls gaped, and she caught the third one's stick between her jaws, using her momentum to throw her hind legs at his face, her claws goring across his forehead and chin. As he yowled in pain, releasing his weapon, she kept it in her jaws, landing and facing the second thug; she then flung her temporary weapon at him, knocking him down the second he got back up from the previous fall. The third thug then approached her from behind and aimed a kick at her bleeding leg; it landed, for a split second, but the split second later, she was facing him, flying at him, pearls bared. And they sunk into his throat a second later, not even giving him time to scream, deep enough for blood to nearly spray, bloodying her coat and his clothing and the ground beneath them. But she didn't delay herself for long.
The moment he began to fall backwards, she knew her first task was done; using his crumbling corpse as a launching pad, she threw herself at the second, who had been smart enough to begin to retreat. But no human could outrun a wolf. And she was on his back, pinning him down, within seconds; he attempted to scream, but her left paw pressed his jugular into the ground, causing him to gag and choke rather than make a warning sound. His eyes grew wide, panicked, and for a moment, she debated on being merciful. Huh, he was at her mercy; she could have all the time she wanted. The only concern she had now, was whether or not Koby needed her help.

Koby flipped back, landing near the fountain. He held one arm gently. That bastard! He dislocated his shoulder. Crap. This wasn’t good. Thug number 1 learned some new tricks. Damn it. Hesitantly, Koby put pressure on his arm. With a snap, the bone was placed back into its slot. The fox held back a scream of pain. He bit into his tongue to prevent it. The back of his hand whipped away the blood from his mouth before two-toned eyes glanced over to Amaya. They widened at the sight. She… She killed them. Sure she was a wolf but that didn’t give her the right to go around killing people. Even if they were no good thugs; humans. Flexing his once dislocated arm, the fox glared up at thug number 1. He was lucky his arm wasn’t damaged too much. Koby sighed heavily before sprinting towards the thug. His good arm aimed for his head. It wasn’t blocked. The thug’s head snapped to the side. He was then kneed in the stomach. Koby’s pants were grabbed and the thug pulled himself up before punching across the face. The fox took the chance to bite the arm. His teeth tore at the skin, using his canine teeth to help.
The thug howled out in pain before punching Koby in the face. But the fox refused to let go. Maybe this time, this beating would teach him a lesson. His neck was gripped tightly, making the fox gasp and release the flesh. He was lifted off the ground. Koby coughed and kicked at the thug helplessly. The thug was going to kill him. Black dotted his vision. Air was cut off. “Brother!” Two-toned eyes widened at the voice. Sky! The white fox shot out from the leaves, darting her way towards the thug. Her pearly whites bit into the thug’s leg. “Sky… Don’t,” Her brother tried to gasp out. His struggles were renewed but were only in vain. “Stupid runt” The thug shook his head wildly before kicking Sky. She flew back slightly and rolled before hitting the base of the fountain. “SKY!” Tears slowly fell from two-toned eyes. The younger fox wasn’t moving. He called out her name again despite the tight grip on his wind pipe.
Pale hands dug into the thug’s arms. This bastard… Was so going to get it! Koby kicked the thug in the groin. He fell to the floor, listening to the thug moan in pain. The fox coughed heavily, trying to catch his breath. Struggling to his feet, Koby practically crawled to his sister. “Sky,” His hands wrapped around the white fox’s mid section and held her close. Sky looked up at her brother. He nuzzled her gently, holding back tears. “You momo. I told you to run,” Koby didn’t get a response. She just giggled, nuzzling her brother back. Slowly, Koby turned back to the thug. He had gotten back on his feet and was headed straight towards them. They were done for. The fox couldn’t fight. His whole body ached, no less he was winded badly. No less, in his moment of despair, he had forgotten about Amaya. Koby gripped his sister tighter, mindful of her injury. He held her close to his chest, shielding her from the thug.

The second thug continued to watch her, wide-eyed; terrified. In that one moment, she was his reaper, his God. Because she determined his fate; whether or not he could see the night of today was all in her decision, all in her hands. Her paws, actually. And he was fully aware of that, just as much as she was. His lips trembled, trying to speak - and so she lessened the pressure of her paw, allowing him room to whimper and breathe a tad easier. But he remained still, knowing full well that he would probably be executed immediately if he struggled; her deathly, indifferent silver gaze held no difficulty with herself after all of the people she had killed in her life.
'P-Please,' he beseeched her pathetically, whimpering under her weight, even though she wasn't all that heavy. She could see in his gaze that her literal weight didn't bother him; she felt like the weight of his life to him. 'Please, spare me. I don't want to die..' No, of course not. No human who wanted to die usually lived for long. Those who wanted to die looked upon Death with a calmness. An eagerness, even. But never fear. Her breath grazed his face, and he trembled furthermore. 'Please! Let me go!' Hn, he shouldn't be much harm, now that his trio had been broken.. Perhaps she ought to give him a chance? It didn't really matter to her as long as he no longer hunted, nor picked fights. Oh - but wait.
Humans never wanted peace. They only wanted violence. So why trust him to roam without hurting animals, hurting the environment? She didn't trust him at all. She trusted no one. And as her cold gaze continued to stare him down, she grew fully aware of her numbness and the clouds of emotions begging to communicate with her, to help her in her decision. But emotions were a weakness. The barrier was doing her good; all she needed was her morals. And her logic, at that. Hm, might as well rid of him.
But as her lips began to peel back, her cranium shifting backward and poising to strike, to kill, commotion from behind her caused her to hesitate. Turning, her lips falling back over her pearls, she caught the thug kicking the younger fox, who had returned in her moments of distraction and concentration on the second thug. And in the same moment, she noticed Koby's struggle with the leader, held by the throat and gasping for air. And now for his unmoving sibling. Deciding the second one was lucky, since she still hadn't exactly whether or not to kill him yet. She turned away from him, her muscles coiled and preparing to leap. Her indifferent bodice ambled stoically toward the unaware, preoccupied leader; a flicker of concern and softness flared through her moonstones at the sight of the siblings comforting each other.
The man charged.
And she lunged.
Silent as a fighter could become, not a growl nor sound broke past her maw, the only sound to announce her assault being the noisiness of her claws scrabbling and then scraping away from the ground. Like the first thug she killed, he had little time to scream; almost none. And he was bowled over completely, thrown roughly onto the ground with her to land directly on top of him, her jaws already extracting blood and life from his temple. He writhed and flailed, kicking her injured leg. Despite being unable to feel it, her body naturally gave way, causing her to stagger, giving him time to throw her off and charge again.
But he didn't make it very far. With still yards of a gap, she leaped diagonally, slicing his neck open from behind. As his corpse thudded, no longer posing any threat whatsoever, she landed almost gracefully, if not for her thrice-injured leg. Ignoring her own troubles, however, she padded over toward the foxes, still completely indifferent; the faint limp in her walk was unnoticed, even as she shifted back into human form.

Two-toned eyes watched as Amaya tore the thug’s neck open. His blood splattered on the concrete making the situation feel more real. Picking Sky up, Koby rose onto shaky feet. “Y-you idiot” The fox stalked over to the wolf, clutching Sky close to him. Amaya just three thugs. That’s three HUMANS! Was she insane? “You can’t just go around killing people,” His voice was laced with venom. Sure, the bastard thugs needed to get their ass’ beat but killing them?! No one disserved that, despite how bad they may be. Wait… What the hell was he thinking? These guys had been harassing him for eight years. Finally Koby was rid of them. His eyes wondered over the wolf, noticing her injury. With a sigh, he plopped down and let go of Sky. She wagged her tail happily and licked her brother’s face. “I’m fine,” Her voice was soft as she watched her brother.
“Sky, can you do me a favor and fetch my bag,” He might have something to help with Amaya’s injury. His bag was filled with stuff. But not like a girls pocket book. No… Entirely different. And, well, Koby’s back was a messenger one which was usually filled with books. He watched the white fox run over to the fountain and retrieve a silver bag. She dragged it over, still wagging her tail. Sky placed the bag into her brother’s lap before sitting beside him. Blue eyes watched curiously as her brother worked on the wolf. Pale hands gently grabbed Amaya’s back leg. He lifted up her jean pants slightly and inspected the wound. It didn’t look that bad. Shuffling thru his bag, Koby grabbed a cloth and some disinfectant. Slowly, the fox whipped away the blood before covering it with the disinfectant and a bandage. He fixed her pant legs, careful of the wound, before standing up. “Try not to walk on it too much. It’ll heal in no time,” Koby lifted his bag and slung it over his shoulder, the strap resting across his chest.
Two-toned eyes looked over the bodies. Thank god Amaya used her wolf form. It looked like a dog got them. They wouldn’t be suspicious at all. Well… Sky would but her teeth aren’t sharp enough to cause such damage. Scratching his head, Koby sighed. He had no phone to call the cops. No less, people were already forming around the area. “There was a rabid dog that came by!” He rushed over to a man. “Call the police. I can get a description of it,” Lies. None of this was true. He’d send the humans in uniform on a wild goose chase. The fox looked away from the man, heading over to thug number 2. “HE’S STILL ALIVE!” Koby called out in fake panic. Sure, this was causing a commotion, but it would distract everyone from Amaya. He glanced over at the female, noticing Sky stayed by her side. Whipping the blood on his pants, Koby jogged over to Amaya. “We gotta get out of here while they’re distracted.” He kept his voice low, only for them three to hear. Gently, a pale hand rested on her back, trying to lead her away from the crowd. Hopefully, they bought his ‘made in 10 seconds’ plan. All that mattered right now was getting the wolf in human’s disguise out of here. Sure, thug number 2 would remember. IF he survived. Amaya did some pretty bad damage on him. He probably wouldn’t make it.

Idiot? Hn, that was a grateful thing to call someone after just saving their life. Then again, she didn't really feel much irritation from it. Remaining indifferent, she shrugged slightly, her low voice responding flatly, "I'm afraid I already do." Her entire life was filled with killing in order to live. Kill or be killed. A fox would only understand that hunting-wise. A wolf understood it on an entirely different level. Foxes weren't constantly hunted by humans; they were more collateral damage. Wolves were their main target; their sworn enemy. So she didn't expect him to understand it. Shifting, her arms crossed, and she settled down on the rim of the fountain.
As the fox glanced at her injury, she was fully aware of what was next; him trying to patch it up for her. Although her mind didn't feel the discomfort, she was fully aware of the fact that she didn't like physical contact. At all. Her neck hair slightly bristled instinctively, even though the rest of her remained expressionless, unresponsive almost. His touch was an unfamiliar sensation; few had managed to lay a hand on her, and almost none of them held her as gently as that. She could feel herself instinctively tense, but she refrained from reacting, merely allowing him to tend to her wound. She remembered a time when she would feel all of her reactions towards being touched, all the pain of disinfectant and the discomfort of bandages. She couldn't feel that now. Once he was finished, she got to her feet, nodding at his advice; it wasn't that she didn't know what to do. She preferred not to let him think she was ignoring him. Even though she just saved his and his sister's lives.
Calm, nearly blank moonstones observed the fox as he scrambled off, arousing a panic from nearby people. They would notice in the autopsies that it was a wolf's doing; dogs couldn't do as much damage, no matter how rabid. They were directly related to wolves, but wolves were still stronger, more advanced; more adapted to a life of wilderness and death, never pampered. Good thing she kept a good disguise. But she could only hope no one paid mind to her limping and bloodstains that transferred from her wolven form; they might swoop her off to a hospital and figure out she was in disguise. So it was a good thing Koby was drawing attention away from her. Hopefully, watching the humans as they panicked and rushed off, they wouldn't notice her.
The fox ran back up to her, joining her and his sister. His hand came to hover at her back, urging her to turn and leave; her shoulders tensed visibly for a moment, but then she relaxed them. Strange how she still couldn't feel the emotions that brought her this discomfort. Perhaps she really would grow to miss it one day. If she ever remembered how it felt to miss something. For a while now, she lived like a living robot.
As she turned at the fox's touch, her silver optics caught the eyes of the second thug for a moment. Her gaze easily caught onto the abrupt increase in panic in the man's eye - and she knew he understand what her glance over her shoulder at him meant; blow her cover, and she wouldn't be so merciful. Just because it was getting more crowded now, with officials flooding in, didn't mean she couldn't dispatch of him in an instant. Wolves were expert predators, after all. He was only her prey. Their game of God was left unfinished, until he died.
Turning away after seeing him stiffen, a terrified understanding flickering in his panic-stricken gaze, she began forward, easily concealing the limp she couldn't quite feel. Despite not quite being connected to the limp, in a way, she was able to sense how to walk in order to keep her body from instinctively buckling. It was simple, really, having gotten many injuries that forced her to hide a limp throughout her life. "Where exactly do you plan on leading me?"

The fox had seen her flinch. To be honest he found it weird, but he never said anything. Perhaps she was autistic in some way. Wasn’t one for touching. Or possibly didn’t like men touching her. Koby put it past him as he led her past everyone, towards who knows where. He glanced back every so often, checking to see if anyone was following. And to make sure Sky was close by. His walk was cut short. Turning to Amaya, the fox tilted his head. “I would say your home but that might sound creepy,” He shrugged his shoulders before looking around once more. Slowly, Koby walked into a alley, motioning Amaya to go
"You’re free to go… Sky come here,” The white fox trotted past the wolf, towards Koby’s feet. She was picked up and placed on his shoulders. “Do what you want, just… Try not to kill. I don’t wanna come to save your ass every time.” Koby joked. He leaned against the wall, mindful of Sky’s tail. Two-toned watched Amaya. He got lost in fight. Amaya had just killed three err two thugs. For him! Well maybe for herself but still. And she did it without caring. Sure, she was a wolf. But that didn’t give her any right to kill them. Even if they were perverted. The fox was positive they must have had family. Family that cared and were now mourning over their deaths. Even if they had assaulted the fox, they had never go TOO far. And despite his hatred, and killing capabilities, Koby wouldn’t even think of doing such a thing. Especially with Sky and Charlie. They were always close by and shouldn’t have to witness that.
Koby tried to change his thoughts. He looked up at Sky. She was smiling brightly. Her tail wagged happily behind her. “Sky… Why aren’t you in your human form?” He asked, keeping his voice low in mock threat. The white fox giggled lightly but didn’t really answer him. Her brother rolled her eyes. Sky jumped down off of Koby’s shoulders. She twirled, transforming back into her human’s disguise. “Don’t twirl so much,” Koby said, leaning down. “Why not?” He snorted. “Cause is shows your undies,” The fox fixed her skirt before standing back up. Sky giggle lightly before running off. “Wait Sky!”
Koby didn’t look back when he ran off. He had figured Amaya was gone. Besides, Sky was his priority now. He needed to get her back home. The two ran for awhile before Koby finally caught her. He picked her up and they laughed as Koby spun them around. “Come on, let’s go home,” Sky smiled before taking her brother’s hands and lead home.

This fox seemed to have the ability to entertain others' senses of humor; then again, most vulpine creatures tended to. It wasn't odd, since once or twice in her life, she had met a few foxes, who were indeed jokers. And sly traitors, but they hadn't dared betray a wolf. Her moonstones flickered in her blink, returning to the present with the faintest crease at the corners of her lips; her form of laughter. So silent and ghastly, blink once and one would miss it. Because the second later, as her stormy gaze ascended toward the heavens, that instinctive smile had dissipated. As she watched the sky pass by, she couldn't help but wonder, would she have honestly laughed more with him had her barrier not been here?
Would she feel the guilt and morality of judgment that the fox felt in killing? He seemed completely fixed on her not killing, on her trying to give others the chance to keep living. In all honesty, despite her barrier, she had logic; she had as much right to kill any species that attempted to kill her, especially humans. Wolves did not seek to hunt down humans; they hunted for survival. She knew she did. But humans, they seek out wolves to murder, murder because they were apparently evil. And not just wolves, but almost all other animals. Any animal they feared or thought was useful in their life. She killed them to save herself, and over the years, the concept stuck that every human, once discovering her as a wolf, would turn on her. It was either them or her. And they always chose themselves. She wasn't a fool that assumed such consequences; she was wised by her own experiences with trusting, serving, humans.
She could tell that, beside his joking, he was honestly conflicted by her kill or be killed standard in life. But could she really help it? What choice did one have, other than run? Run, and risk living in fear at all times? Run, and ultimately die from running away, being too afraid to face one's fear? She would admit, death was an extreme, a horrendous consequence. But then why would humans kill so much, so desperately? To let them live was easy, if they didn't bother her. But if they attacked, letting them go was almost an impossibility; she was designed, molded, to make any attempted-killer of hers regret targeting her. They would pay, whether it be an injury, their life, or the lives of their loved ones. Or all of their lives. She was a calm, stoic wolf. But that was also what made her dangerous, vicious, to any who assaulted her. A silent, cruel, and ruthless killer. She would not deny.
As the male turned and focused on his sister, she turned, not bothering to bid an official farewell; she had a feeling they would run into each other sooner or later. It was a small world, after all. Ignoring the bickering and liveliness, the cloud of emotions pressing against her barrier and trying to get through, she continued on, as expressionless as ever. Would she miss them? She doubted it; she rarely ever missed anyone, especially now that such a feat was unbeknownst to her. Just as the brute didn't bother to look back at her, she did not turn to look back at him - and she too took off. Just in a much more silent, inconspicuous manner. Soon, she would reach the crowd, and once more join the flow of the Square. Just like nothing had happened. Just like she had not saved two lives and took two more. Just as if life was no more interesting than it ever was for this wolf.
And then, she was gone.
