Aets sanctus aets, Nam regna. Aets sanctus aets, Nam regna. Rcesss animae sancta. Rcesss animae sancta. Kaze stood outside of the hospital doors as she took a deep breath. She sucked in a lung full of fresh air before entering the doors. It had been nearly a year since she had been here. She kept her violet orbs in front of her as she walked. She pushed the memories to the back of her mind. It was like a broken movie playing again and again. Her eyes flickered to the ground and she stopped. On the white tile were dark rusty stains. They were faint and Kaze doubted the normal eye would’ve picked it up, but there it was. Blood stains. Her breath hitched in her lungs. There was no smell and Kaze visibly relaxed. It would seem the sanitizer they used worked well. Her violet orbs moved downward as she noticed a faint tug on either side of her. Her hands were small pudgy fingers gripping her.
A faint smile left her lips and she crouched down to be eye level with the two children. Her children. They were beautiful in every way possible. Even perfect perhaps. Many mothers and people alike had complemented them. Valentino, the eldest mail by mere seconds reflected the beast of a father all too much. Luckily though, both children had a healthy pigment to their skin, unlike the lunar wolf father. Valentino’s eyes, however, were the same gold that cut through glass. His hair, though very white in color also had a light crimson tint to it. He was very protective of his sister and sometimes even she, Kaze was thankful for that. Kaze turned her head as another tug came from the other hand. Viviana, eyes that stared deep into hers were beautiful. Ana was her own spitting image. Her skin though lighter had a bronze tint to it. Her hair was much darker verging to almost a dark chocolate brown with a red tint. Her eyes were much lighter, almost pink perhaps.
The two children could sense Kaze’s uneasiness and she knew it. Their grip on her hands was slowly tightening. Her pulled them into an embrace and stood, hoisting them both up on with side of her hip. The average woman would struggle to do this, but Kaze was not the average woman by any means. This was an easy feat that she did with ease. “Va tutto bene, i miei bambini,” she whispered softly in their ears. Slowly she walked to the front desk where several nurses stood. One in particular was the quickest to react and immediately began to help them. Kaze remembered her. It finally hit her. This was the nurse that was there the day Teno and Ana had been born. They locked eyes for a moment and she understood. “I’m here for a checkup,” Kaze said softly as though her voice might shatter. “Of course Ms.DeLuna. Come, follow me,” the nurse told her and made her way down the hall.
Kaze walked slowly with the two children gripped in her arms. Her breathing deepened as memories flooded back into her mind. Eventually, she snapped out of her daze and began to follow in step with the dog shifter. Once in a room the children were looked over carefully for anything amiss. They were perfect. She took the children in her arms again and kissed them each on the forehead before whispering to them once more,” ah, sì. Questo è un bene.” They both smiled and nodded. Kaze turned to the nurse,” Thank you.” The nurse gave a nod and smile,” Any time.” The nurse was nervous. She hadn’t seen Kaze in over a year. She wondered what had brought her back to the city and if that male would follow. She could still remember the day DeLuna came in ready to give birth. The male had been large and had scared all of the staff.
Kaze left as quickly as she could without giving herself too much attention. She hurried outside before setting her children on the bench. “Mama, everything okay?” Valentino asked softly, worried eyes watching her. “Yes, il mio bambino,” Kaze answered softly, glad to have the fresh air hitting her skin. “Mama, I want to go to the park,” Viviana asked with playful eyes. Kaze laughed and ran her hair through the dark locks that say upon Ana’s head. “No. Maybe some other time?” Ana seemed slightly let down but agreed with her mother none the less. “Bene, andiamo a casa,” Kaze told them before straightening up to stand. “Home already?” Teno asked and his sister nodded in agreement with him. “Sì, it’s getting late.” The two children sighed but hopped off the bench nonetheless and each took a hand. Kaze smiled, they were her world.

Shai was in disbelief. it'd been a few weeks since her fun in the port, but it seems she brought a souvenir back with her. One that would be arriving in a few months and would be called her child. She should have known better than to go and have unprotected sex, but that hadn't exactly crossed her and her childs fathers mind after a good few rounds of drinks. Speaking of, shai had to track him down and tell him at some point that he was going to be a father. She strode out of the hospital doors, her face blank as thoughts and emotions jumbled together into a huge mess. Her long brunette hair trailed behind her as a slight breeze picked it up and stroked against her face, as if to console her. She sighed, sitting down on a bench and reclining across it's length. "Of all the ways I could fuck up..." she uttered to her self, lifting a hand to brush her hair behind her ear as another breeze flitted across her skin. This one, though, brought scents and voices with it.
Craning her head to look back towards the hospital, she could see a mother and her own two children leaving it's doors as well. 'that'll be me in a few months... she thought to herself, looking at the brother and sister as they talked to their mother. Shai's nostrils flared, dragging in the scent that the wind brought from them in the late afternoon sun, and shai's ears perked a bit. She'd recognized that scent. She could mainly smell panther, but she could still pick up the smell of wolf, and the flowery scent that seemed a bit forboding. She remembered the one other wolf she had met who smelled of it, though it had been a female, but still. The mystery intrigued her. There were more wolves like the one she'd met? She squinted a bit as she carefully rolled to her side- one arm hanging off of the side of the bench while the other she used to rest her chin on.
She could hear them speaking of going home, the children not very pleased but putting up with their mothers decision as they jumped off of the bench and each took a hand. With nobody else around, it almost seemed like a scene from a cheesy movie with an overly happy ending- and they started making their way down the walkway to head off before night fell. Shai pushed herself up into a sitting position, leaning forward a bit with her elbows on her kness as she stared off into the distance- admiring the scenery around her as the party grew ever closer. there was still no other people around. Once they had passed, shai remained seated- practically drinking in their scents for a meer second before she nearly slithered off of the seat. Human skin seemed to almost melt into ebony fur as she revealed herself for what she really was.
The wolf padded after them, her head low and fur standing with unease. She set her sights on the boy- creeping closer as she crouched down a bit and poked her head as far forward as she could, trying not to draw attention from the woman or sister as shai tried to get a better sniff of the boy. Curiosity was driving her, and curiosity did not tend to be kind to her stubborn and thick-headed self. This was sure not to end well.

A pale teenager with bubblegum-pink hair stood across the street from the Vale Hospital, staring up at the building with a slight pout on her lips. She was at a crossroads, and not just literally. This building, the one called a hospital, held so many secrets. She loved secrets! But she hated when she didn't know them. What went on inside, she was dying to know! But her King had forbidden her to go inside. She might never come out, He had warned her. She was different from other humans and once inside this would inevitably become apparent. Why this was such a big deal, Nemne didn't really understand, but Rei made it sound like a bad thing for them to know, so she obediently avoided the humans known as Doctors. But oh, she was so curious! And envious! It wasn't only knowledge she craved; if anything she craved this more: lollipops. She had been standing here for a while now, and sure enough, by some miracle more than half of the children who left the hospital were in the possession of a candy sucker. Why? How? Her imagination tried to explain for her: perhaps there was a whole candy shop beyond the doors, or a man not unlike Santa Claus who handed them out freely, or a chocolate factory run by a crazed man in a top hat with little orange assistants... No, that last one was just silly. It wasn't fair! Nem wanted some! Why couldn't she have a lolly of her own? She glowered at the tall walls, wishing she could see through them into the source of her frustration.
Two more children emerged from the place and violet eyes scanned them greedily. No lollipops. She sighed. She was almost on the verge of stealing one but these kids had already eaten theirs or somehow missed out on their prize. But wait, these weren't human children. The flower maiden tilted her head, watching them take a seat on a bench and trying to place the sensation she was feeling. It was familiar, but, confused somehow. She looked at them more closely. The little boy had a regal air about him, she thought. He almost resembled her Rei... Wait... That was it! With a squeal she skipped forward toward the children, finally placing the lunar beast signals as the same she had sensed within their panther mother. Like Rei's but... softer? No, just diluted, mixed. But still distinct.
She stopped in her tracks though as the family stood up and Nem finally took note of their guardian, the fierce mother who held each of their hands. She recognized the female's signature now, but it had been so long and muddled with the little ones she had nearly missed it. She chewed her lower lip fretfully. She wanted to say hello, to play and hug those cute little kingly lunar spawn, but would she be allowed to even get near them? She watched them walk away, struggling with missing what might be her only chance but then she noticed she might not be the only one interested in following them. A black wolf was trailing, no, STALKING them! And getting awfully close to her little Rei! Without a second thought the fragile maiden launched forward, arriving just in time to tackle the black beast as it leaned forward toward the boy. She lent all her weight toward taking down the canine, for whatever little it was worth. "HYAA!" Nemne to the rescue!

Kaze was anything but relaxed. Her wind whirled at different scents and various sounds. Her beast senses heightened to the maximum. She would leave nothing unnoticed. Her children were much too precious for her to forget something. Her eyes would flicker about and her nostrils would flare at any given scent. In truth, this made Kaze exhausted beyond belief. However, even at night she’d wake at the drop of a pin, often periodically waking up just to check on the welfare of her babies. A small smile graces her lips as she glances down at them. They were so innocent, yet they didn’t know they were beasts, just like her. They bounced around in her grip as though their feet didn’t touch the ground. They were so elegant in their own little way. Many mothers had told her how perfect they were. Kaze would simply smile, knowing very well the animal advantages each of them had. What animal they were was a mystery. Kaze had a feeling they would turn out much like their parents- a wolf and a panther. How strange it would be, but they were lunar beasts after all.
As they began their walk, Kaze took notice of a girl sitting on the bench. Kaze didn’t break pace though. She didn’t want to make the kids suspicious. Kaze could tell something different about the girl. She breathed in. Yes, there is was. A wolf. Her grip on her kids tightened slightly, but not enough for them to notice. Kaze watched the girl with sharp violet eyes. Kaze wondered if her lunar beast aura stuck out. She had practices from months on keeping the deadly aura down and practically unnoticeable. Her kids had grown used to it and it didn’t bother them. Kaze doubted the animal meant harm, and she was glad it had decided to stay in its human form. Her eyes looked about to see if there was another path they could take to avoid the wolf. Her jaw clenched slightly; there were no other routes. Kaze sighed; they’d just have to walk it through. Kaze could only hope the wolf didn’t try anything funny. Perhaps it would sense the lunar beast and instinctively go away. She didn’t want to risk frightening her children with her powerful aura. She’d just have to rely on fate.
As they approached Kaze could almost sense something. Perhaps it was nothing, but something felt different. As they closed in on the girl it became stronger. Kaze finally understood. A small smile was placed on her lips and she nodded to the girl. She was with child, how unexpected. The girl looked young in her eyes, but Kaze was thousands of years old, so she couldn’t say much. She could only hope the girl would provide for the child, and hopefully a father would be involved. Kaze’s smile faltered slightly at the thought. Children deserved to have fathers, but her babies didn’t need Rei. She shook her crimson locks at the thought. It wasn’t worth thinking and mulling over the idea. He had broken her. What would he say if he saw her today? What would he think when he saw the kids? Their perfect babies. No, her perfect babies. Either way, Kaze hoped the girl knew what she was getting herself into. Bringing up kids was hard, even harder when you did it alone. Kaze hoped the girl wouldn’t take notice of the lack of a ring on her finger. She wasn’t exactly happily married with kids, just happy with kids.
As they passed, Kaze relaxed a bit. She didn’t find the girl whom was baring a child to be a threat. Kaze in turn started to hum softly to her babies as they giggled and bounced about. They were her life now, and oh how she loved them both deeply. Kaze almost didn’t register the girl moving behind her if it hadn’t been for her acute senses. Her eyes narrowed once more, as the atmosphere changed. She had shifted. Kaze cursed on her breath and her step quickened slightly. The children didn’t notice as the just giggled and kept pace. Why had she done it here? Neither of Kaze’s children had shifted yet or knew the truth of their existence. She didn’t think this was the time or the place. Kaze tried to hide her mild irritation at the situation. She could play this off. Yes, and maybe her babies wouldn’t even notice. How to handle this? Kaze’s mind was working at a million miles a second while still keeping an eye on the wolf behind them. Kaze couldn’t physically see her, but she could feel her close in on them.
Kaze held her breath as she watched the wolf reach out from the corner of her arm. She didn’t give her kids enough credit and Teno turned quickly "Mamma!” He called before grabbing onto his mother. Kaze turn on a time, feline teeth bared. Her intense violent orbs stared down at the wolf and the gir… on top of it? Her children quickly hid behind her, peeking out from each side. “Stop.” It was quite and low, almost dangerous. It was a tone she hadn’t even used on her children. Her eyes narrowed. “What do you think you’re doing?” It wasn’t really a question. Kaze could only hope the wolf wouldn’t speak for fear her children ask questions. She looked more closely at the girl and her eyes narrowed dangerously. It was the flower maiden, but she was of their kind. She was Rei’s follower. Why was she here though? It left Kaze confused. Did this mean Rei was close? She stiffened and quickly scanned the area, but there was no sign. She visibly relaxed slightly.
She turned her back to the wolf, crouching down to huddle her kids in so they couldn’t see the wolf. Hopefully, she would shift back so Kaze didn’t have to explain anymore. “Non abbiate paura.” She said softly to her babies, kissing them on their foreheads. “It’s just a big dog, nothing to be afraid of. Mommy is right here.” She reassured them with a smile, before standing. She turned, her aura becoming slightly more dangerous each passing moment, motherly instinct kicking in. _______________

With each passing second, shai's heart pounded harder within her chest. She was creeping up on a panther and her kids for fucks sake- but she had to know. She had to know what they were. Her cold nose was maybe an inch or so from the boys skin, and she took in a breath. He must've felt the pull of the air on his skin- because he started to turn. Immediately, shai froze, her ears flew forward and her fur stood on end, eyes widening with the terror of the situation that was beginning to unfold. Their eyes met violet orbs meeting greens, and then everything happened- there was a weight that had flung itself onto her back, the wolf letting out a terrified yelp that made even her own ears hurt as she reared up, her heart stopping for what felt like a minute- the boys cry for his mother going unheard by shai as she twisted around over her shoulder to get a good look at her assailant- only to find a girl. Terror immediately turned to anger, and shai flung herself at the concrete to ground herself, the roaring in her ears nearly deafening, but not enough to block out the panthers voice.
The simple command drew shai's attention from the girl on her back to the panther, anger evident on both parties faces- though for different reasons. The air from the cat was definitely becoming more hostile, and shai's angered expression melted into a blank mask- save for the hard stare she wore. She examined the woman as she in turn seemed to examine her, the question hanging in the air for only a moment before shai uttered out an answer. "You're not a normal creature. And you're also not the only one of your kind." she uttered out, the faintest hint of a snarl on her face as the panther let her gaze turn to examine the girl on her back. Shai, too, let her head fall to the side- her eyes trained on the girl. She definitely wasn't an animal, but she did seem to smell like she'd been rolling around in flowers for days... almost a more intensified scent of the panther. Her right ear twitched, listening as the female turned around to get her kids behind her and to tell them not to worry.
Shai growled at the girl on her back, shrugging her shoulders and trying to shake her off. She was too small, though- and shai was too large to effectively get her off in her beastly form. She shifted to her human guise, shrugging the girl off roughly and shooting her a nasty glare. "and what the hell were YOU thinking? she asked her- sneering at the younger one. A hand had instinctively snaked it's way over her stomach, though shai had yet to notice as her gaze remain trained on the floral smelling girl.

As soon as the girl made contact with the fae's back, she hung on for dear life. Like a desperate monkey or crazed koala, she clung tightly, latching on with her limbs and grabbing fistfuls of fur to have something to hold to. The loud yelp that followed her assault hurt her ears but she did not raise her hands to cover them. Fear began to set in now as she realized that she not only had little hope of overcoming the fae's strength, but she was also attached to an angry animal who might kill her as soon as she was shaken loose. Reality was terrifying; no wonder she chose to ignore it so often.
The body beneath her rocked and squirmed but the flower held fast. "No! No! NOO!" She refused to relent. She was doing pretty well for herself until the ebon fur between her fingers vanished and she fell roughly to the ground. Pain, fear, and frustration swirled inside her fragile body, the potent mixture forcing tears to her eyes. She looked up from her position on the ground, meeting the heated gaze of the wolf-turned-woman with wide welling orbs. What was she thinking? She had only been thinking about one thing! And she wasn't about to give up so easily. This was too important! The pink maiden threw herself at her opponent's feet, latching herself onto the woman's ankle. "If you're so hungry, j-just eat me instead! You want to eat them, don't you? Well, I WON'T LET YOU!" Her would-be threat ended as a sob caught in her throat, the tears finally overflowing onto her cheeks. She pulled her body close, doing her best to wrap as much of herself as possible around the fae's leg in order to hinder her movement. She squeezed her eyes shut and held fast once again, half-expecting this to be the end for her. It would be worth it. Dying for her King's offspring was almost as noble as dying for the King himself. At least she might take down the other with her. Her blood was poisonous, after all. Bite me, I dare you, she goaded in her head. If my blood doesn't kill you, I know someone who will!

I try to catch my breath again I hurt much more Than anytime before I had no options left again
The scene unraveling before her were starting to become too much. This is exactly what Kaze had been afraid of. She wanted to escape the life of the feared lunar beast. She had spent months suppressing the demonic aura and scents she had been so known for. However, slowly it was breaking apart. Her children were potentially at risk and that’s something she wouldn’t let happen. Her fists tightened further, and her jaw clenched as a feline hiss threatened to come out. Why was this happened? She cursed herself. Kaze has always felt uncomfortable going back to that hospital, and this wasn’t helping at all. She wanted to take her kids and run, but she didn’t know if they’d be followed. It was already too late for that. Violet orbs were hard and her pupils were on the verge to becoming feline slits.
Kaze ignored the girl’s words. Of course she’s wasn’t normal. She could crush this wolf without a second thought, but what would that accomplish. She paused. She wasn’t the only one. There were several more, though younger than herself. Kaze may very well be the oldest living thing in the world at this point. Where had she encountered the other beasts? In paradise, or in the city? Again, Kaze’s eyes flickered about wildly scanning the area. It was just them; spare a few birds that were fleeing the site in fear. Kaze stared down at the tainted maiden as thoughts flew through her head. It was strange to see the flower stray so far from paradise or Rei. Wildly she scanned again, he wasn’t here. She had to calm herself down. She could hear her children whimper softly as their grip tightened on her.
The wolf seemed angry and confused; her focus now on Nemne who was holding for her dear life. None of this was adding up. Kaze reached behind her and gently pushed her children away, giving them a reassuring smile over her shoulder before moving. Nemne was now gripping the girls leg and Kaze hissed in frustration softly. This needed to end. “I said,” She grabbed Nemne’s arm roughly, perhaps too rough in her anger,” Stop!” With a violent tug Kaze forced the flower maiden off the wolf in a heartbeat. Kaze had forgotten her own strength and the scene seemed unreal. Before she accidently sent the flower maiden flying she put her beast powers in check and kept the flower from going air born.
Kaze looked dangerously down at Nemne knowing all too well she was doing this all because she felt the need to please her king. Kaze could’ve gagged. Rei always viewed himself as king, but to Kaze he was nothing of the sort. She shook Nemne slightly hissing once more. “What are you doing here?” Her eyes searched the scene once more. “He’s not here with you…” she paused to look about again. “is he?” With a sigh she let go of Nemne arm. She didn’t look down at it. She didn’t want to know if there would be a bruise or not. She cursed her stupid mistakes. At this point her aura was lethal, threatening. No doubt her scent would now be on the maiden. “Shit.” She cursed softly to herself looking back her children who were clinging to each other, both not sure what to do.
Her children hurriedly rushed back toward her, and Kaze took a step to meet them. They crashed into her with force but she didn’t budge, her arms wrapping around them and they hugged her. She whispered softly into their ears and hummed a soft tune to calm them. When she felt they were calm she stood once more, eyes still dangerous as she stared at them. “Answers. Now.” She commanded to both. Her motherly instincts in high gear with every breath she took. They were her babies, not Rei’s.

Eyes widened a bit as the girl started screaming, shai's skin crawling uncomfortably as she started snaking around her legs. Did she really believe shai was going to eat this panthers kids? Shai sighed, lifting a foot up and out of the girls hold and she glared down with a sigh. "Kid, get the f-" shai started speaking, but abruptly cut herself off as the panther started her own talk, greens glancing back over to the woman and freezing immediately in terror as she drew closer- though a slight sigh barely escaped her lips in relief as the cat was after the girl and not her. Once the limbs were yanked form shai, she took a step to the side to give the two room. She wasn't going to be close to that mess if it started to get ugly. While the woman was distracted, though, shai managed to get a bit closer and get a better smell of her. It was definitely the same as that wolf she and aya had fought, if only a bit different in the fact the two were different species of animal.
She let her eyes travel back to look the kids over. They did, indeed, look to be the perfect children. Perfect rounded faces, perfect rosy and youthful cheeks, perfect small bodies- just perfection all around. It was un-natural for anything in the animal kingdom to be so god-like, and shai narrowed her gaze a bit at them in her thought- not noticing as they stepped closer to one another to offer comfort under the frighteningly tall womans glare. As the panther stepped back to her children, shai again let her eyes wander towards the girl. She side-stepped over to her once again, watching the panther now as she comforted her children for a brief moment- turning around and asking for answers. It was unsettling to be looked upon with those eyes, but shai didn't let it show. Fur bristled a bit under the illusion, but no physical hint was visible on her. "There was a girl that I got a hold of a while back. A wolf. Missing an ear, black, smelled almost exactly like you and your children."
She paused, crossing her arms over her torso. "Sound like anybody you know?- Greens turned down to look at the girl at her side whom the panther had seemed to know well enough to pry her off of shais legs.Or you?" she directed the question at both, body rigid with tension and slight aggravation aimed towards the girl for scaring the ever living fuck out of her earlier.

"AH!" the pink-haired maiden gasped aloud, unprepared for the forceful movement that jerked her away from the black wolf. While it hadn't been an attack, the yank and the hand responsible weren't exactly gentle either. The girl's eyes were wide with fear as she looked up to meet the panther's dangerous gaze. She could feel the mother's aura, that strange sensation Nemne associated with lunar beasts and other maidens, swelling. The frightened flower did not understand that Kaze had been subduing its intensity in order to stay hidden, but the surge reminded her of who she was dealing with and suddenly the other hungry monster didn't seem so scary. Shaken, she tried to think back on why exactly she was here; it felt completely foreign now, like night and day, the situation had changed so quickly. "S-saving-- babies!" she managed to stutter out. "J-just wanted a l-lolly...!" The violet eyes started to overflow again. Kaze was being mean and her arm hurt and she hadn't done anything wrong. When questioned about her King, the princess could only stare blankly back. If she said 'no' would Kaze kill her? Her lip quivered and she sniffled, on the verge of sobbing again. "Ow~" she whined pathetically instead of answering, prompting the edgy lunar beast to release her.
Nemne sat on the park path with the attitude of a punished child put in time-out, sniffling every-so-often, with a prominent pout upon her face. She clutched her sore arm protectively, pulling the limb in close to her chest. She did not meet either of the two elder females' eyes from her position on the ground. From time to time she would glance at the two children but otherwise she kept her focus directed toward the ground, in a bit of a sulk. She didn't want to answer Kaze. Kaze was being a big meanie mcmeanie-pants anyway, so she was fine with letting the baby-eater explain herself first. It would have been hard to tell the girl was even listening at this point, but as words of the description clicked into place in her simple brain, she listed her head some and nodded shakily. "Th-the King's s-sister. She's black t-too, one ear gone. Tsu--" she dropped off as her mouth fell open and she looked up at the scarred wolf with a horrified expression. "Did you eat her?" Her assumption was clear: if she had tried to eat King Rei's children, maybe she was out to eat his entire family.
