NINETEEN • FEMALE • WOLF • STRAIGHT • CUSTOM
Diamond in the Rough
And I just can't get enough
Unlike her twin brother, Shan is the spitting image of her late mother Lia. Apart from the large age difference, the two look almost exactly identical, from the top of their heads right down to the bottom of their paws. There are only a few physical traits that set the mother and daughter apart from each other, but even those would be slightly hard to find. Starting from the top, Shan has a very short and slightly unkempt hair. The thick strands of hair seem to flare out uncontrollably at some areas, while laying almost perfectly flat in others. Shan prefers to keep her hair rather short, right above her shoulder area to be exact. From time to time one may catch the light brown tresses flowing freely down the girl’s back, but a sight such as this is rare; Shan thinks long hair gets in the way when getting down to business.
Moving on to Shan’s beautiful face~! Her heart shaped face appears to be very delicate. The skin that stretches over it is very light in color, and would be almost flawless if not for the almost invisible scar right on the bridge of her nose. Her forehead is not a small one, but it is not a terribly large one as well. From her wide forehead, Shan’s face begins to narrow and ends in the very soft point which is her chin. Shan’s eyes are a darker shade of brown than her hair, and form an almond like shape upon her face. The brown optics are framed by hundreds of tiny eyelashes that curl up slightly as most eyelashes do. The rest of Shan’s face is unremarkable. Her nose is small and up turned while her lips are pink and slightly thin.
As for body structure, Shan has a rather mediocre rank in this category as well. The girl stands at a height of five feet and four inches, while she weighs a mere one hundred and twenty six pounds. To be blunt, Shan is a thin girl with no curves to boast of. Many of the people she meets hover over her small frame like giants….or at least that is the way Shan seas them.
Shan’s wolf form is many times more beautiful than her human one. She is a blonde wolf, laced with thick strands of white and grey in no apparent pattern. This beautiful beast stands at about twenty nine inches at the shoulder, and from nose to tail she is about five feet. Similarly to her human illusion, Shan has deep brown eyes.
It's All a Part of Me
And that's who I am
Despite her harmless and delicate appearance, Shan has a rather rude disposition…or as she likes to call it, ‘straight forward’. Sha has no qualms about speaking her mind to those she likes, or dislikes, even if it means she might get a fist to the face. Doing anything less would be looked down upon and would label her as a coward. It is very rare to see Shan keeping anything to herself. She is the type of girl to wear her mind on her sleeve, and toss aside any negative thoughts on the matter too.
But just because she likes to speak her mind, doesn’t mean Shan is all rotten. She has a really big soft spot for those in need, probably because she knows what it feels like to eat out of the garbage or go hungry for the night. However, the ‘those in need’ category only includes wolves and the occasional dog. Shan has a huge dislike for humans or any other peach colored thing that walks on two legs.
It's Time to Fly
And let's just say goodbye
Birth
It was a dark stormy night in the city of Vale, and a small blonde female lay in the slums of an alley, straining to give birth to her first litter of puppies. It was an unbelievably hard process for four year old femme, and it put a rough strain on her body. But somehow, by some strange miracle, she got through the labor, delivering three healthy pups. They were small and frail little whelps, like all new born pups, they could not see, or walk on their own. The new mother, whose name was Lia by the way, struggled to trembling feet as she tried to move the babies out of the pouring and relentless rain. One by one she gently grasped the pups in her mouth and transferred them into a nearby cardboard box, too tired to even soothe the yelps of her pups. She simply collapsed next to them, curling her thin body around them to keep them warm. She would take the time to nurture them in the morning. For now, it was time to sleep.
Morning came, but unfortunately, Lia felt no better than she had the night before. It seemed her labor had taken more out of her than a simple night’s sleep could return. She could hear the soft breathing of her newborns as they sleept, curled up into fluffy little balls at her side. The sound warmed Lia’s heart, and instilled in her a small ounce of guilt. She hadn’t even taken the time to care for her pups, or give them names. In fact, she didn’t even know what gender they were!! Well now would probably be the best time to do so.
Shan would be the name of the eldest pup. She was a female and slightly bigger than her siblings. Lia nuzzled her face into Shan’s body as she repeated her name, taking in her scent and committing it to memory. Suyin would be the name of the second eldest. She was also female and slightly younger than Shan. But at the same time, she was a lot more energetic and lively than her sister. Lia did the same to Suyin as she had done with Shan. Finally, the youngest and smallest of the entire litter who would be known as Li. This one was the only boy and seemed to be a lot darker than his sisters; a trait taken from his father no doubt. The harsh life of the streets had taken him only weeks before…hopefully another member of her family would not be lost in the same way.
Shan could certainly be seen as the more aggressive of the trio of pups. The one thing she loved to do was pounce and nip all over her sister and brother, despite the ongoing chides of her weak mother Lia. For the first few months of her childhood, she boasted the title of the big older sister. However, as time went on, her younger brother began to surpass her in size, despite the small amount of food that flowed into each of their mouths. Although their eyes were oblivious to the fact, their mother was on the verge of starvation. The small amount of food she managed to get was channeled to her quickly growing pups.
The trio was only a year and a few months old when their mother died. It was a sad thing to wake up next to a stiff and unresponsive body. Especially when that body belonged to your very own mother.
The rest of that year was by no means an easy one. Shan's sister followed her mother to paradise only weeks after, leaving only Shan and her brother behind. From then on, it was nothing but war. The two siblings fought constantly over food until it finally their anger finally boiled over.
One night the younger male violently attacked his sister because of a rotten piece of meat she had found. With the piece of meat in hand, the male simply walked away, leaving his sister on the ground with a gash on her face. Since the, Shan's way of living has not changed much; she is still digging through trash and being sneaky just to stay alive.
Your Voice is so Soft
Speak up so they can know you
”Eight…nine…ten…eleven. Eleven dollars…” The smile that was on Shan’s face only moments before dissipated completely as she stuck green dollar bills into the pockets of the jeans. Those measly eleven dollars was certainly not worth the torture of picking through clothing that smelled of rot. Tsk, tsk…all these recumbent males had absolutely no money on their beings at all. They probably had spent it all on the liquor that thickly coated their tongues and hung from their breath. The scene was actually rather depressing. So many people littered the street, unconscious from the alcohol in their bodies. If Shan wasn’t so disgusted by the view, she might have felt sorry for them. Too bad she was broke, and needed some food, just as much as these guys needed their drinks.
Ignoring the horrid stench, Shan continued onwards, skipping over the bodies that littered the path. She took her time however, analyzing each one she passed, estimating the amount of money they had. Usually her eyes never deceived her, and she would spot a person with a fair amount of money. But it seemed that today she couldn’t find glint of green anywhere, and the final results of all her searches were dead ends. She grumbled a few unintelligible words before she finally decided give up the hunt. Tonight she would have to live on a cheap meal, and endure any lingering hunger afterward.
The air began to grow colder, and the sun continued to set, but the number drunkards and homeless that wandered the path never diminished. The ones that were still coherent eyed Shan suspiciously and grasped the necks of their bottles tightly. Out of pure habit, she flashed her white human teeth, and allowed a threatening growl to grow within her throat. A few of the transients averted their eyes, while other simply smirked at the ridiculous site of a growling teenage girl. She tossed her short hair, and resisted the urge to scoff at the men. Another visit would have to be scheduled for later in the evening. Then she would see who would be smirking then. ”Maybe I’ll catch a meal too”
Surprisingly, the number of wandering people on the sidewalk began to thin out as she walked along, but the smell that clung to their clothes did not leave with them. Shan quickened her pace, in an attempt to escape the horrible aroma that would not leave her alone. Another smell caught her attention however. This one was more familiar, and a bit closer to her own. She quickly found the source of this wolfish smell, although it came in the form of something more human. Shan looked the other female over before she decided what to do next. The last thing she wanted was for a chunk of her ear to be missing if she got too close.
