Her stature is very intimidating when you first see her, the scars over her eye adding a very sinister look. Her body is, overall, sleek, though you cannot ignore the fact that she is pure muscle. Her brunette hair is dark, an almost ebony color like her wolven pelt, the only factors suggesting the lighter coloring being the sheen it gives off in the sunlight. Her eyes are a dark emerald green, blue flecks tainting it here and there, but otherwise they seem perfectly fine...save for the scars over her right eye of course. The attire for this fae is simple, a Black tank-top complimenting her large, yet still feminine, figure while dark denim jeans allow her legs free movement, ragged tennis-shoes on her feet to atleast appear somewhat sane instead of going around barefoot. In her wolven form, Shai stands 4' 7" at the shoulder, again being very large for her species. She tips the scale at 246 lbs, rippling with pure, solid muscle. Her pelt is a pure ebony, though on her chest lies an 'X' like pattern, colored a dark gray. On the tips of her paws, you'll find they are also not the same ebony as her massive bodice. The tips of her front paws are closer to a white color, while the tips on her rear paws are the same gray as the mark on her chest. You can see the bullet hole in her right ear more clearly in this form, and the scars still taint her right eye. Her orbs are the same as in her human illusion, emerald gems flecked with blue, though they smolder now with what seems like anger. It's All a Part of Me And that's who I am Shai comes off as cold to strangers, but it's only because she's wary and has a hard time trusting people. Once you get to know her and talk to her for a while, she eventually opens up. She becomes very protective of those who DO befriend her, and would willingly throw herself off a cliff if meant keeping them safe. When it comes to fighting, you'll find nobody better than this fae. Her large size and weight may lead one to believe she'd be slow, but in reality she can push herself to become merely a dark blur against the landscape. Shai can be very patient, and for having so much of it, she has nearly perfected the skill of Ambush. The fae doesn't care much for humans, though hunters she'll almost always attack on sight, due to her past experience. Not one to be seen following orders from anyone, shai is her own alpha, and would be willing to correct anyone that would think otherwise. If there is one thing though that I would suggest NOT doing to this fae, it would simply have to be getting her angry. She holds no mercy, and will bring you to your knees and leave you to die painfully, that is, considering smaller animals don't come to eat you before then. It's Time to Fly And let's just say goodbye Shai was brought into her pack 5 years ago, to her mother and father in the vast expanse. Alongside her in her litter were 3 other sisters and 2 brothers, though shai was the largest of them. Like their parents, the alphas of the pack, the pups were treated respectfully, never being taunted or made fun of, especially not shai. They were young at the time, only a good 8 months old, but already shai looked to be closer to almost 2 height-wise. Time went on, and shai only grew more. She quickly out-grew all of the other wolves in her pack, which was around 20-24 wolves mind you, her height challenging even her fathers massive stature of 3' 2". She soon began practicing on perfecting her hunting skills at around a 10 months old- beating her father in height by a good 4 inches now. She was still a pup though, and she was working her way up from rabbits to foxes and coyotes at this point. The rules layed down by her father, seeing as she was so big, was that she could only hunt alone so far away from the den. That, of course, did not sit well with a young shai- and so she did what any rebellious pup would do. She wandered off much farther than she should have, and soon was about to find herself in a very sticky situation. She spotted a young doe, a fawn just losing it's spots, and decided to try her hand at catching the quarry. She'd killed enough coyotes and foxes to learn how to stay down wind and move fast, but now was the time to put the training to the test. She crouched down behind a shrub, watching the small doe as it ate with it's back turned away from her- but was startled when it suddenly shot it's head up- darting over towards shai and leaping over her with a single bound. Shai was about to rise to her paws and give chase- until the scent of new wolves came across the gentle breeze. She immediately dropped down to the ground, listening to the pawsteps and chatter of the pack that was nearby. From what she could hear, there had to be maybe 8 or 9 at the very most, though the majority were youngsters. She followed after the voices quietly, stalking just a bit faster than their casual walk to make it up to the front. These were intruders upon her packs land- and shai wasn't about to let them take what her family had taken so long to create. It was a decision based on the pure adrenaline of a young pup- and that decision was very simple. The only option she had ever been taught to have when intruders came upon her lands; Take No Prisoners. She stalked forth a bit faster, confident in her size and what she could call skill at this early age as she sat and waited for a few moments as the leader of the group came even with her. She lashed out from the foliage that kept her hidden, a snarl erupting from her jaws as she clamped down upon the alpha's neck and twisted his head flat against his back with a sick snap. She quickly tossed the body away, the wave of chaos tangible as it spread out amongst the pack before her. Only a quick command was given by a second wolf, instructing one of the members to lead the younger ones to safety, before shai was already on her next victim- clamping down hard on the throat of the one whom another referred to as Johnny, and shaking him like a rag doll before tossing him away as well. Emerald greens flamed as they scanned feverishly for the next target. This did not take long, as she spotted the male whom had called out for the other to lead the younger ones to safety. He was trying to buy the younger travelers time, as he stood between her and them. With a quick swipe of her paws, she took the beta's paws out from under him and grabbed his throat- pinning him to the ground and shredding his jugular before turning her attention to the petrified youngsters. They couldn't have been older than shai's own siblings- but her mind was already made up. Take No Prisoners. She killed each and every one of the pups, even pretending they were foxes and coyotes as she corralled them and herded them- picking them off one at a time until at last, none were left. She looked once more upon the havoc she had started and finished- licking the blood from around her muzzle as she scanned one last time for survivors. She paused, watching curiously as a figure rose from the carnage- looking around in disbelief at what shai had left in her wake. She growled a bit, her hackled raising and tail leveling with her back as she continued to watch. It was the one whom the beta had called Johnny- and shai was about to charge to end him. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that he collapsed again. Had she actually taken her time, she would have noticed that the male had not died- and he would be the only one to live of this ordeal. Instead, she ran back to the den- informing her pack of what she had done. Despite being disappointed with her for having disobeyed his orders, shai's father soon started her for training with the actual hunting party. Shais siblings were left in the dust of her growth rate, her strength keeping a good pace with her height and weight, so she was brought onto her first hunt much earlier than her brothers and sisters. The vast expanse was plentiful with deer and rabbits, but because of shais height, she could not easily slink down in the grass. She instead stalked them from the forest trees on the side of the expanse that lead into paradise, waiting for just the right moment to break from her spot and take down her quarry. The life for shai was good, food being plentiful, and the humans just across the large meadow not seeming to take much interest in the large wild canines that hunted outside of their walls. She would soon think differently. Shai was now 2, surpassing all members in her pack in both size and strength, the pack having grown by now to close to 30 wolves, but still was technically a pup. The pack had decided to try a new tactic of hunting, where shai and a few others of the pack would hide in the cover of the forest while the rest of the hunting party would drive the deer towards them from out in the meadow. The hunt had started out wonderfully, a large herd of deer being rallied together and snapped at, forcing them to flee. The wolves in the meadow kept them tight together, making sure they could not stray from the path they had so elaborately planned out. It was then that the first gunshot rang out, one of the figures guiding the heard from the right dropping to the ground with a high-pitched yelp. Another gunshot, and another wolf down. The deer were forgotten as the remaining wolves fled for cover, each one going down as gun-fire rained upon them. A stray bullet caught shai in the ear, and she ran out into the meadow with rage, her fur standing all over her body as she let out a roar of a snarl, aimed at the humans at the gates of the city with their guns drawn. Her father came to her, his body standing broadside in front of her as he opened his jaw, about to say something when another bullet whizzed in the air, finding itself lodged into her fathers ribs. He dropped before her, not a single word managing to have escaped his jaws. Shai watched the life leave his eyes, the blood that leaked from his body, and she snapped. She let out a snarl that would challenge even that of a lions, and she charged forth, ignoring the bullets that seemed to graze against her body as she drew ever closer, pouncing upon two humans at the same time, each of her paws on their chests before her jaws enclosed both of their throats, yanking her head and earning a satisfying crack from each spine before she leapt off, doing the same with one more of the hunting party before she fled back to her pack. It was a time of loss as the wolves mourned their alphas death, but they would have to continue on, as shais mother was now a single alphess. Late into the night, the pack sat in a circle, discussing who was to take the old alphas rank. It was around midnight, and they had decided who was to take the place of the late alpha male. It was a dark wolf like herself, and her mother backed out from the title of alphess, finding herself too old to continue on much longer with defending her rank. The male immediately turned his attention to shai, who was only a year or so younger than he, but a good 4 inches taller. He tried to court with her, and continued to try for days without so much as even a hint of success. She did not find any interest in him in the least, and it was frustrating him to no end. Finally, after nearly a week of un-successful attempts to win over the fae, the male confronted her before everyone, asking why she refused to accept him. He received no answer, only a small growl and a flick of the tail before she tried to turn and walk away. He growled under his breath, a smirk finally playing upon his lips. "Fine then, I guess I'll have to force you." he spat out, trotting up behind her and jumping onto her rear, his paws scrambling to find a hold. This did not go very well with shai, who spun around and lashed out, her claws finding the brutes chest and leaving a large gash as he backed off, yelping loudly. The rest of the pack stared after shai as she snorted and started trotting away, turning their orbs back to the male that sat bleeding, his pride having been thrown into the trash. Some of the wolves tried to follow after shai and coax her back, even her old mother, but she would send them running back to avoid being clawed like their new alpha. A few hours later, shai found herself calm enough to return to her pack, but as she came closer to the den, she could smell smoke, and looked to the sky to see black smoke rising into the dusk sky. She raced onward, her paws pounding against the ground as she grew nearer, the screams of her pack members piercing her ears as the smell of blood slammed into her nostrils. Bursting through the trees, she froze as she took in the scene layed out before her. Bodies were layed out everywhere, riddled with bullets and piled on top of eachother, the den having flames licking at the entrance and were spreading quickly to the trees and grass around her. Pups and adults alike were being shot down, and shai stood there, able to do nothing except take it in. It was then that a single thought crossed her mind, and she did not have time to think it over as her body simply reacted. Run. Her black bodice flew across the carnage, jumping over bodies as she tried to look for survivors to lead out. Like a flash, another body leapt out of the corner of her eye from her right, the weight of the other throwing shai out of the air and to the ground, claws raking over her right eye and leaving bloody gashes. The pain stung, blood leaking out and obscuring her vision as she kicked out blindly, her own claws raking the belly of the familiar brute on top of her and earning in turn a series of yelps and cries as he flung himself off. Shai rolled to her paws, her hackles raised and tail high as she looked him over with her left eye, her right eye clamped shut to keep the blood out of it. "This is my pack! You were given the chance to make it yours too, but you refused! You're no longer involved in this pack as far as I'm concerned, and I won't let a loner do an alphas duty!" he snarled out over the cracking of fire and bang of guns, lunging and grabbing hold of shais scruff before he started to shake his head, trying to rip flesh from her neck. The faes paw flew up, claws sinking into his chest before she ripped him off of her and pinned him down. He still snarled at her, even as fear swam in his eyes. He was at her mercy, and could do nothing to stop her if she chose to kill him right there. Instead, shais jaws opened wide, clamping down on the brutes fore-leg and crunching down with a loud snap. With that, she grabbed his neck in the same jaws that had just done the damage to his bone, and picked him up, dragging him along like a pup out of the reaches of the fires brilliant glow. Only 3 other members of the pack made it out with them, and she dropped the male on the ground, the ebony brute letting out a yelp as and whined as he landed on his broken leg, trying to lift it up without hurting it more. "And to think, I could have simply killed you." she snarled out, leaping over the hunched over male and running off into the forest, ignoring the threats the brute called after her. She was now a loner, now ties holding her to her pack as she went out to make her own path in life. The fae was curious, however, as to why the humans would do such a thing. They had never showed any signs of striking out before, and this only made her more curious. She traveled into the city, finding the usefulness of her human illusion quickly as she found that it was very rare, and rather frightening to the humans, for a wolf to be seen within the city walls. There were humans every which way she looked, though they looked harmless enough. None held guns, save for the ones wearing weird clothing and wearing metal things on their chest, but their guns weren't near the same size as the ones used to take out her pack. There were animals too! though they were much smaller than even the shortest member of her pack. The humans called them 'dogs' and gave them homes and fed them and loved them like their own children and friends. This baffled shai even more. The humans were so willing to give these 'dog's homes and were willing to feed them and love them and care for them, yet they despised wolfs. In shai's eyes, the dog was no different than she. It had fangs, claws, fur, and a tail, and it ate meat and chased things, just like a wolf. So why did humans like these 'dog's better? Months went by, and still shai had close to no answers as to why humans would do what they had done to her pack. She had tried to question one of the 'dog's as the humans called it, but the small dog simply ran off, able to see the beast hidden underneath the illusion. Shai was rather annoyed, and so she dropped her illusion, chasing after the smaller canine and her predatory instinct simply got more provoked as she began to see the creature running before her would make a rather nice meal. It would be then that she met Aya, coming to the aid of the small canine and trying to fend off shai, earning instead a missing chunk of shoulder. The two met a few weeks later in the inner city, fire and corpses of wolves, dogs, and humans alike littering the area. She had seen an alabaster form darting around, and shai had felt a strange pull to find her and help her in anyway she would need. She became cornered by hounds as her snarling and slaughtering of the mutts had drawn enough attention from the others, and it was then that aya had come to her rescue. Though it would seem that the faes should've grown to hate each-other, they actually became the best of friends. The two fought mutts and hunters at eachothers side, two ebony monsters of the battlefield striking down anything in their path as shai's new companion helped search for the white ghost of a wolf darting around the carnage. They found the female injured, looking dead as she sprawled over her kill- and shai removed her from the disgrace of a mutt, setting her down near-by. Anger welled up inside of her- the wolf that had been helping so many others had seemingly paid the ultimate price- and as another hunting hound seemed to want to try to take advantage of the situation, shai tore it apart; leaving it to whimper and cry in pain as it bled out. She had stared at it for a bit before a half-breed had showed up, with quite the interest in blood, it seemed. As she bowed her head to sip at the crimson liquid that seeped out in a steady and thick stream, aya's frown was joined by a sneer of disgust from shai- wondering how she oculd even stand the taste of the disgusting creatures blood. She joined aya, staring at the newcomer as she lifted her head and licked her chops eagerly, gaining every last drop of the crimson life that clung to her fur ಠ_ಠ. Another male had made himself known as amaya soon found consciousness again and was beginning to limp off. Shai and the male immediately started out on bad terms, already challenging eachother and amaya being the only thing between them to keep them form going at eachothers throats. Shai did not ever catch their names as she followed them for a bit afterwards- though soon seeing her company was not wanted by the male, and the female being annoyed by their constant bickering, shia left them to go find aya once again. Moving back into paradise with Aya, shai began to finally start forging her own life. Though it would not be long before she met yet ANOTHER wolf by the name of Kaori. The care-free wolf had managed to earn the large wolfs friendship as aya had. The two, like shai and aya, were also inseparable. Shai thinks it had to do with kao's sarcastically hilarious comments and remarks. Now with two more friends, shai was of 3 years of age. She had trained her body and put it through hell, but she wears her scars like badges of honor, reflecting on the hard times she's survived through. She believed that nobody could possibly beat her, and nobody would ever be able to control her. She was about to learn how wrong she was. She met a male by the name of Tansei, another loner wolf trying to make his own life out in paradise too. He was able to take hold of her heart without even saying a word, and the two immediately grew close, and over time falling in love. The two stayed with each-other for months, not wanting to ever be apart. But even as they fell harder for each-other, the world had different plans for them. It apparently had not tortured shai enough. Shai had been hunting with him, an injured deer limping around and bleeding out that had managed to escape him was what the two were after. They had found it after many hours of searching, and began to devour it until an uninvited guest sauntered upon them. It was a rather large bear, its brown and black coat keeping it well camouflaged until it caught scent of the blood from the kill. It charged in, its paw swiping out at shai. Tansei had roughly shoved her out of the way, taking the hit that was meant for the fae he loved. His body went through the air, claws having impaled his stomach, and landed roughly against a rock. He quickly rolled to his paws, shai rushing to his side and helping him stand as they both snarled at their opponent which was now eating the deer they had searched so long to find. Tansei had suggested they go, that they would find another source of food, but shai would not let it be. She stalked forth, lunging upon the beasts back and clamping down upon its shoulder, her head tilted so that her fangs pierced into its chest as well. The animal let out a ferocious cry, rising to stand on its rear legs as it shook and reached around, trying to grab her as she only sank her fangs in deeper, planting her paws firmly on its back and yanking on the flesh in her jaws, bringing it with her when, with a final thrash, she was thrown off only to have tansei take over. He move around the bears legs, his wound spilling alot of blood as he tried to twist and turn to avoid being trampled. He found himself biting into the bears leg, only to be roughly shaken off, the bear crashing down its front paws on his already injured chest, the bones snapping with ease under the pressure. Shai was up finally, shaking her head to try to stop the world from spinning as his crys of pain reached her ears. Her heart dropped to her stomach, and she froze, her ears pressing out to the side as she watched in disbelief. She recovered quickly as she realized what needed to be done, her ears snapping forward as her hackles flared up, and her claws sank into the ground, using all of her muscle to throw herself forward. She charged at the beast, snarling and growling with utter rage before leaping through the air. The bear turned its massive head towards her letting out another roar before it was roughly caught off, shais fangs clamping onto its throat and crunching down with all of her might, blood spurting from around her jaws and quickly threatening to completely block her esophagus. She was forced to let go, not wanting to choke on the warm liquid, and she released her grip, pushing off with her paws and landing protectively over her mate, snarling as the bear stumbled back, swaying a bit before it collapsed, its last breaths leaving its body in a rough tone. Now that the immediate danger was gone, shai turned her attention back to Tansei, who was on his last leg as well. She lay there with him, curled around his body with her head on his for his final moments, as the two spoke of things that they never got to say, things they never got to do. It was nothing exciting, but probably the most important and heartfelt time she had ever had with her love. Now heartbroken and finding herself with almost nothing, she wandered back to the city, not bothering to even lift her illusion as she slunk in, collapsing into a giant pile of fur next to a shop. They were in for a rather frightful surprise when they found a giant wolf next to the door. Shai sat there, wallowing in her grief for close to 7 days, not even moving to eat the food that the owner of the shop and various other people had left for her. She had lost her mate, and nothing would bring him back or heal her emotional wound. Another few days had passed, and shais condition had not changed. Then, a pair of red paws planted infront of her nose caught her attention, even if it didn't register immediately that another was in her presence. Green and blue flecked orbs slowly travelled upwards, though they did not have to go far to reach the face of the small red fae. Her own green eyes glimmered as they curiously took in the large beast. She was small, the size of any normal dog that wandered around the streets, but this was no dog, but a pure-blooded wolf instead. Around her neck on a golden chain was a brilliant ruby that caught the sun. She nudged the ebony beast, asking her what was wrong. Shai turned her head away, tears already stinging her eyes at the meer thought that someone, even a complete stranger, cared about what was wrong with her, the fact that memories from a week and a half before flooded her mind did not help either. But she could not escape the prodding wolf that again stood in front of her gaze, asking again for the source of her troubles. It was only with a few more tries that she was finally able to get a response from shai, their talk soon turning into a full out emotion fest. Needless to say, shai and the female called Kiki grew very close, shai adopting the younger as a daughter. One could say she was the angel that helped her see the light. Shai, finally coming of 4 years of age, remained close with Aya, Kao, and Kiki. She travels around the entire expanse of paradise, being sure to check in with each of her 3 compadres every time she comes around their neck of the woods. She still proudly wears her scars, even the large emotional one that was healed by the three of them, if not almost all by kiki. One can also find her making her way around the city at times. But for most of the time, she finds that her home is in paradise, with her three close friends. It was not long, however, before she met a male by the name of Sagittarius. They too had started off on quite the wrong foot- shai having trespassed onto his boat- but the two soon sorted it over and had decided to smooth things over with a couple of drinks. Trouble found the two not 5 minutes later, as men came after the male looking for him to pay him back with real cash for the boathe had acquired from them. The male, having no means to protect himself, ran as shai followed up the rear of the entire chase, taking men down one by one as sag forged on, making due with anything he could get his hands on. The chase ended in an alleyway, sag having been cornered as the last of the men came in looking for him. He found shai, though, lurking behind him and she delievered him his death- releasing the hybrid from his troubles. They went out for drinks, which then turned into a contest- and they both ended up losing as a night of fun ultimately left shai pregnant with his child. She's halfway into her pregnancy, and still has yet to find him to tell him of the news. Aya, though- her best friend and practical sister, has offered to help shai raise the child should she need help. Your Voice is so Soft Speck up so they can know you snap the noise brought about a twitch of an ear of an ebony wolf. She could hear footsteps as they came to a stop- though another softer pair of padding footsteps continued in her direction. Shai paused in her walk, standing still with her tail level with her back as she waited. They were hooves, pounding against the soft dirt and headed straight for her. 3....2....1- the wolf swung her massive head around, jaws opening wide as a doe came bounding out from the brush. It may have easily escaped what was after it before, but there was no way it was getting away from this particular wolf. Fangs found soft flesh and she yanked her head down towards the ground, bringing the deer into the dirt with a loud 'whump'. It bleated aloud, trying to call for help. Nobody would dare to come to save it; and with a sick crunch, shai twisted the prey's neck at an angle it was never supposed to be able to go before it went limp. A meal certainly hadn't been what she was expecting to find at the stellar oasis; but it was welcome either way. Releasing her hold on the does mangled throat, the wolfess let the blood sit upon her tongue and let a ripple of slight warmth seep down to her chest. The cold didn't bother her much with her thick coat- but warmth still felt nice. She whirled her head around, noticing there was not enough room to be comfortable while enjoying her meal. Shai sighed, grabbing the doe again by its neck as she loudly started dragging it back out into the open, towards the oasis, where she would have a bit more room to devour her catch. Not once did the scent of the other reach her, nor did she quite see him; her attention elsewhere at the moment as she started ripping at flesh and swallowing large warm chunks- blood spilling and tainting the snow. She didn't worry about rushing for fear of another animal coming to take her kill. Being 4' 2" at the shoulder and weighing somewhere close to 210 lbs, she was usually the one who did the driving off. If her size didn't seem intimidating enough, the scars that ran over her right eye and the bullet hole in her ear were equally as effective. So she stood there rather comfortably, chowing down and oblivious for now to the creature who had been chasing the delectable doe first. Peel the Mask Off Just who are you anyway?
